Nice find, Aaron. A VERY nice ride for the next owner.

Very rare, hand-built Italian steel bike made by Mauro Sannino. Most likely Columbus SL. 52cm. Most likely early 80's. All built up with new handlebar tape, chain, brake pads and cables, derailleur cables. Rides great! Galli crankset, brakes and derailleurs. TTT Stem, handlebars and seatpost. Bike is in good shape, no dents or anything, though the red has faded a bit on one side of the bike. Nice braze-ons.

If you are interested, please send your phone number so I know that you aren't a spammer. Thanks!

Some history I found on Sannino:
"Sannino is an Italian brand built by Mauro Sannino. He was taught framebuilding by his grandfather and spent about 10 years apprenticing to other framebuilders before starting his own business in 1979. He earned his reputation by supplying bicycles to the Polish and Russian national teams. Production was fairly limited, with about 1500 frames per year in the mid-1980s. Many of the early models were roughly finished but by the mid-1980s, things had improved considerably. A trademark of many Sannino models were steeper geometries. Seventy-five degree seat tubes and seventy-seven degree head tubes were used on the mid-1980s Professional model. Offhand, I do not recall a Criterium model, but of the models I do recall, none were less than Columbus SL. Galli was an Italian components manufacturer from about 1976 -1987. Their equipment is found quite a bit on Olmo and Sannino bicycles. It is good equipment and was patterned after Campagnolo, but was mostly popular for it's wide range of anodized colors (black, red, blue, gold, green, maybe others). I believe the cranksets were actually made by Stronglight and the hubs by Maillard."

Sweet old fixie...

[h=2]1880's Big Wheel Bicycle (Memphis)[/h]

Date: 2012-12-24, 11:11PM CST
5gd32-3499915805@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

I reluctantly am listing my big wheel bicycle for sale, I thought I would have this in my collection the rest of my life, It is truely a once in a lifetime find which I now offer someone else the privilege of owning. I recently had this bike appraised and authenticated (will be shown on tv 1st week of March 2013) this bike was most likely built in the late 1870s maybe very early 1880s by the Ford company (presently known as Ford Motor company) Ford built a few bikes and buggys in the 1870s and 80s before they concentrated their efforts in the auto business, the bike has 2 manufacture's stamps, one on each fork in the exact script that the company still uses today, the bike appears to be all original and in Museum quality, the bike even retains it's original holder to stand bike up when not using, it is truely a one of a kind peice that will surely become the statement peice of any collection, please respond to this post with a phone number and you will be contacted so as to make arrangements to inspect the bike, 17,500.00 is the selling price, no trades, no offers, this price is below its appraisal ..... will send more pics to interested parties. thank you for looking

looks like Raleigh Ilkeston made Professional frame + fork, repainted.
seller says it's low cuz no model name is known.
seems pretty good price in kinda sought-after size, IMHO.
someone snag it, wouldn't last long.

Interesting...not too bad a price either, Bike Boom Era, stem shifters and turkey wings too!

https://sarasota.craigslist.org/bik/3478365180.html
Unique bike from the late 70's. It rides great I have it all tuned up with maybe 25 miles on brand new cables, new handlebar tape, chain/drivetrain cleaning/relubing, and new 27" tires. The listed price is firm.
