[h=2]1984 Shogun 1500 18 speed touring bike - $265 (Milford)[/h]

Date: 2012-12-31, 2:53PM EST
hzrxb-3502357317@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

This great Shogun 1500 18speed tourer is a little big for my 5'10" best suited for someone 6' plus.
The frame is Tange Champion #2 Cr-Mo tubing. It is fitted with Shimano cantilever brakes and a Shimano Deerhead group (basically the first Deore XT 700 series), aluminum wheels, 3 bottle holders and rear rack. It has multiple eyelets for fenders and racks and it is ready to go touring. I fitted new tires this week, gave it some new grease and adjusted everything.
$265
Thanks
Greg

[h=2]Beautiful Vintage Swiss Allegro Road Bike, Expertly Restored, 23in - $850 (Brighton )[/h]

Date: 2012-12-30, 8:38PM EST
2csft-3511535828@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

For sale is a gorgeous bike, a true piece of history. Allegro was a high-end Swiss bike manufacturer that distributed bikes through California in the 60's and 70's. This specific bike is an Allegro Special with a 23inch frame (center to center). I discovered this bike and just finished spending four months restoring it to its former beauty.
Judging by its serial number, this bike was built between 1965 and 1967. The frame is constructed from only the best, Reynolds 531 steel tubing, with Campagnolo dropouts, ornate lugs and no braze-ons. After completely stripping the frame, I painted it a metallic blue/green with white fades and red lug outlines, similar to the original paint schemes on this model.
In terms of components, the original Stronglite cranks, headset and bottom bracket are all in great condition, cleaned and with their bearings repacked. Also original to the bike are the elegant Campagnolo record cable guides, shifters, and front and rear derailleurs. These components are completely free of rust and maintain their chrome lustre. The brakes are also Campagnolo record, in beautiful condition with new pads. Brake and shifter cables are brand new. The Milremo quill stem holds a set of streamline Cinelli drop handlebars with new Cane Creek hoods and white Deda bar tape and steel Cinelli bar ends. The seat is a white leather Selle San Marco Rolls, BRAND NEW. The only component technically non-period for this bike is the SR steel seatpost. The SRAM chain is also brand news. The original Lyotard pedals have new Christophe chrome clips and white leather straps.
The handbuilt wheelset is comprised of original 36 spoke Campagnolo Record low-flange hubs (just repacked) with Super Champion Gentleman rims, brand new DT Swiss spokes, and brand new Vittoria Zaffiro Pro clincher tires with vintage tan sidewalls. The hubs have their original Campagnolo skewers.
The only inconsistency with this bike is the rare chrome 7 speed Sachs freewheel in great condition, which because of its width in the rear dropout, cannot be used on its smallest gear. This makes the rear gearing 13-14-15-17-19-21 with a 39 and 42 tooth chainwheel up front (12 speeds in total).
This is a truly beautiful piece of engineering that deserves a good home. To find out about more about these vintage Swiss bicycles: https://www.swissbicycles.com/category/allegro/
I have invested hours into this bike and about 400 dollars worth of brand new high end components. Sadly, the bike is too large for me. I am asking 850 cash but am willing to entertain reasonable offers. This is a price that I believe is fair. Low ballers and scammers, please stay away. This is a serious bike for a serious buyer.
You can contact me via text 617 947 three-four-8-five or by email. I'd be happy to provide additional information or images about the bike. Thanks for looking and happy riding!

If this is a full bike, it is a good deal. For just frame/fork... less so.

[h=2]Vintage Univega Complete Road Bike - Nice! - $200 (Acton)[/h]

Date: 2012-12-30, 2:57PM EST
qj5hr-3477559470@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

I live in NH but work most days in Acton.
Mid 1980's Univega Gran Sprint. Sweet little complete bike. 50cm top to top seat tube, 53 cm center to center top tube. Tange double butted Cro-Mo tubing, Cro-mo Stays, Mangalite fork. SR Crankset, Dia-Compe 400 brakes, Suntour 12 speed drive train including Cyclone derailleurs. Wheels spin nice and true, nice and smooth, good rubber. A few unexpected expenses came up and have to sell. It does need a nice bath.
Please E-mail me, I'll check my mail frequently and leave your contact info. Cash only of course, and scammers, spammers and e-mail harvesters, I will not reply to you, but I will make fun of you.

[h=2]Eddy Merckx Columbus TSX - $1000 (Salem)[/h]

Date: 2013-01-01, 6:10PM EST
nwwb3-3515109083@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

I'm dropping the price from $1500 to $1000 on my recently restored Eddy Merckx 1990 Columbus TSX. The frame has been professionally sand blasted, painted white, re-decaled with period correct graphics (gold edged decals), and finished with 2 coats of clear coat. No dents, dings or scratches.
The complete bike. . .

[h=2]Vintage Torpado Racing bike Italian steel 10 speed Campagnolo Chrome - $150 (Monmouth County)[/h]

Date: 2013-01-01, 8:36PM EST

Very rare vintage late 1960's or early 1970's Torpado Super Turismo 10 speed Steel road racing bike. This vintage bicycle measures 60cm ctc on the seat tube (24") and the color appears to be a light turquoise, pearlescent blue, or "sky blue". I believe it's fully chromed underneath the paint, as any areas where the paint has flaked appears chrome underneath. The Bike comes with Campagnolo Shifters, Campagnolo front derailleur, Campagnolo Gran Turisomo rear derailleur. The Cranks are Chrome Nervar cottered cranks, Campagnolo Cable guide, 3t or ttt Stem, Chrome headset, Benotto Bar tape. The Wheel set are Weinmann Rims with Normandy High Flange Hubs, 5 speed cassette, and mmatou skewers. There are no crack or dents, just some scratches and flaking in the paint. I believe the headbadge is brass and there is a "Made in Italy" sticker. The bike need a little cleaning, it was garage kept and unridden for 30+ years. Great potential for a fendered Bike as it has fender eyelets, and the rear drop outs are Fixed gear friendly. I would recommend replacing the Seatpost and Seat as they are not original and the former owner soddered the handle bar bolts on the 3t stem (not sure why), other than that this a great, very rare classic bike. First come gets it. I can meet up near Parkway in Northern Ocean or Southern Monmouth county.

I have what I think is a 1974 or 75 UE-18. It has been stored indoors and not ridden in 20 years or so. Item is from an estate, so I do not have the history. Asking $400 but will entertain offers, I do want to sell it. Pictures are recent, come look and take it for a ride! Jeff 732-245-7969, leave a message or email me anytime.
