I have one of these... had it painted by Grove Innovations in an Imron blue/silver pattern back in the day (I don't recall why, but when I bought it, it needed a paint job). Lovely bike, and very comfortable. It's a little sad to see it selling for so little, but I suspect a full suspension bike provides more control on rought terrain, so it wouldbe hard to compete with the best modern mountian bikes out there.

https://mombat.org/MOMBAT/BikeHistoryPages/Grove.html

Mine has a fixed fork and the Hammerhead stem/bar mentioned in the website. I can remember seeing some of the X-frames around town.

Those were great bikes... as is the Kestrel.

Yeah I wouldn't expect it to compete with the best modern mtbs but I would love to have it just for the coolness factor. I'm not a mountain biker anyway. Too bad I don't have the money

If you can't find a facilitator, most of the guys here seem to be on the north side of Boston, see if the seller will take it to the The Bicycle Clinic at 77 Pleasant St, in South Weymouth, 02190. 781 340 1212 The owner used to be a pretty cool guy, havent seen him in years though.

Weymouth is about 30-40 minute drive + I don't have a car. If the seller is willing to meet me in town, I'd be happy to facilitate.

[h=2]High-end Vintage Road Bike - $150 (Cambridge)[/h]

Date: 2013-01-15, 7:25PM EST
nczzt-3548680735@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

I'm selling this vintage ---- road bike. It's a very fast bike and at one time was top-of-the-line. As with most things with age, it shows some wear, but it still functions nicely. It's a perfect commuter or project for someone that wants to overhaul it and make it into a vintage beauty. All the components on it work awesome, and the old, lever shifters are engineering perfection that are really hard to find nowadays. The downside of this bike is that it's heavier than the newer models. I've recently adjusted the hub, the main bearings, and trued the wheels so it's in good shape.

Make: Centurion
Frame: 32''
12-Speed
New brake pads

[h=2]Bridgestone 700 road bike- fully restored with trainer - $250 (Scituate, MA)[/h]

Date: 2013-01-15, 4:49PM EST
nxwqj-3548330898@sale.craigslist.org[SUP][?][/SUP]

Beautifully and fully restored Bridgestone 700 road bike. large frame (63cm/25") would fit taller rider. I'm 6'3" and it fits me perfectly. It has new tires, new brakes, new cables, new water bottle cages, new handlebar tape, and new brake lever covers. Shimano 600 components. I had it professionally taken apart, cleaned, and tuned. there are some paint scratches on the rear right, but cosmetic only. Rides like a new bike. Excellent frame design and construction with top notch components of its day. truly a classic road bike and a pleasure to ride. includes frame pump. indoor trainer (rollers with magnetic resistance) also included. Great winter trainer set up. Link below has some additional specs

An '84 San Remo... looks nice. Despite the 27" wheels if it was cheaper I would be after you try and facilitate for me, however I think $200+ shipping might be a bit much for a Mangalloy frame/fork.
