I went and looked at it and wow it's pretty. Full campy record Ti, thompson elite seatpost, ti wheels, and i'd give the condition a 9/10 as it sits.
What is this bike worth anyway?

I'd say he is in the right ballpark with $1800. It wouldn't last a day at $1500 and it wouldn't sell at $2k

I would think I pawn shop might have a hard time selling it. BUt anyway it's a big frame, probably around 61cm

Yeah, it is big which is probably the only obstacle (other than the tri setup) that he faces, once he puts it in the right category.
This one has been languishing on CL for quite awhile now, I bet he would go down to $900 or so just to see it out the door because it is obviously not his size.

I think this one has soooo much potential.
Love the color.
Won't fit my kids, nor my wife at this point though.
I don't disagree about the $900 offer, but I'd rather hang it on a hook for five years than take that low of a price.
But then again, I don't need to sell my bicycles, so there's no hurry whatsoever.

One in a smaller size that did not have the Shamal wheels sold on ebay for $1800. This bike went down to $1650 and then vanished. Below is the last ebay auction it was in. I really wanted this bike, but I already have a Primato and need something different. This is a beautifully riding frame set and the wheels are still commanding a high price...and are probably the most cool wheel set ever made. Size 61 c to c and down in a pawn shop in TX. right? If it fits you, you will be more than happy.
