I actually really like this. Cool idea if you have a beater frame that you like to ride but isn't high-end enough to be worth repainting.

I don't know that I'd pay what the seller is asking, but it sure looks pretty.

1988 Stumpjumper - $400 (Forest Lake)

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ws...645281246.html

1988 Specialized Stumpjumper. This bike is in excellent condition.
As close to new as you'll ever find. I've gone through it completely.
ALL bearings packed, new brake and shifter cables and brake pads.
New Specialized tires. This bike is completely original, and I do
have the original "turbo" seat to sell with the bike. 1988 Blackburn rack.

I want one of these style frames to convert to a belt drive (so I don't have to split the rear triangle) in the worst way.

A non-wood Colnago

https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/bik/3646660275.html
[h=2]Vintage Colnago "Nuovo Mexico" Frame - $450 (Melrose)[/h] Powered by LeafletTerms

17 Sanford St

Vintage Colnago 'Nuovo Mexico" steel bicycle frame. The "Nuovo Mexico" was a limited production frame offered by Colnago in the mid 1980's. It features "crimped" tubing along the top tube, down tube and both chain stays. The idea was to add additional stiffness and probably was the prelude to Colnago's famed Gilco tubing. The frame measures 56 c-c with a 55 c-c top tube. It is made of Columbus tubing with a fully chromed and engraved Colnago fork and engraved chromed driveside chainstay. The decals are immaculate as is the paint. There are three ball point sized chips on the frame that were two small to photograph. The frame also comes with a vintage Campagnolo Nuovo Record Headset in perfect condition. The frame has an Italian BB shell, 27.2 seatpost, braze on front derailleur hanger, recessed allen key fittings for front and rear brakes and horizontal dropouts if you wanted to convert to a single speed or fixed gear. Please call Matt at 781 632-2892. Additional pics available upon request. 17 Sanford St (google map) (yahoo map)

[h=2]His & Hers Custom Touring Bikes - $350 (N. Wilmington, DE)[/h]
We are moving back on a sailboat (having been off for over 20 years now) and I am trying to find a good home for our long-distance touring/cruising bikes. They were custom painted to match by an automotive custom paint shop many moons ago but have weathered the years quite well with only a few scratches to be found.

The wife's bike is a 50cm Fuji frame (she is 5'2" with short legs) with a mixed bag of [at the time] high-end, ultra reliable components. The cranks are Sugino 130 GP, the brakes are DiaComp, the front & rear derailleur are Shimano and the shifters are Suntour Bar Cons (at the tips of the bars). This is an extremely reliable set up with 1000's of miles on it. It needs to be dusted off and re-tuned but she index-shifts true with each click.

My bike is for a taller guy with long legs (I'm 6'1" but have a 36" in seem) who likes to spend more time in the saddle. The frame is a 64cm 1962 Raleigh with Zeus drop-outs (Pro frame without the Campy drop-outs). This is not a ultra-light frame by any means but you can sit on it for 100+ miles and not feel every pebble in the road. Most of the components are old-school Campy but the rear derailleur is a Shimano 105. (Don't ask me why, but it just worked better than the Campy did with the Bar Cons at the tip of the Scott Aero bars; much more positive indexing.) Crank, front derailleur, brake levers, seat post and bar post are Campy (off my old Benotto). I couldn't use the Campy brake calipers (just the levers) because I run this bike on 27/1 1/8" competition tires. (This is the original size for this frame. I ran it on 60cms for a long time until they finally started coming out with serious road tires for the older 27" rims). I am using Dura-Ace calipers front and rear. The pedals are old-school clip-in Look's that have been very reliable over the years.

I had a racing bike too, but I used this bike on many a Centurion while in So Cal and on a number of 30's, 50's and 75's and each time I came across the line in the top 10; and I have never raced for anything but for fun and fair weather riding over the years. I hate to part with these guys, and of the 13 or so bikes I have had these two were always our favorites, but since we are both pushing 55 now it's time to find them a new home. The price is fair, for even just my bike, and with some new rubber you won't be disappointed.

One more thing..why the wild colors you ask? I can positively tell you that if some one hits you and says they "didn't see you", you can prove them a liar in a court of law ! We even rode with bright, neon green jerseys and helmet covers. Despite having put several thousand miles on two wheels (in my younger days) I/we never had so much as a close call in traffic or on the open road. I know they aren't macho colors, but we were always the first bike spotted coming down the stretch AND always got compliments on the paint jobs.

Did Craigslist change something yesterday? When I would click on links and then click back to the main category the ads I already visited would be in dark purple and the unviewed ads would be in lighter blue. But now ALL the links are the lighter blue no matter what. Annoying as hell since I don't like to keep clicking on the same ads over and over.
