Why are huge c-rings so expensive? I would imagine their only application is tandems. Must be people doing NOS restos or something.

Ciocc Road Bike 16 Speed - $900 (Pembroke)

This is a 16 speed top of the line custom Italian made racing road bike by Ciocc in excellent condition. This would be a great entry level to intemediate triathalon bike with classic lines, excellent build quilty and amazing agility. This bike consists of a Chromoly frame, with outstanding build quality. The componenets are Campannolo Athena Rear Derailer and Record Front Derailor, Athena brakes, Athena thumb shifters, Look 235 pedals, turbo matic custom seat, Athena sprockets and gears, new triathalon duro tires. The bike was $4200 new ten years ago and still competes with $1500-2000 bikes of today as weighs in at just under 20 lbs. The bike is a size 54cm and fits me perfect, I am 5' 8" with a 31" inseam. The bike would work for anyone 5' 6" to 5' 11". This is not a Carbon fork bike as most in the $1500 - $2000 would be, but you could add one if desired. What this bike does offer as a full metal bike, is speed and the feeling that everything you put into the pedal translates to forward motion. This bike has been sitting for way too long not getting used since my car accident and I need to put it in someones hands, its a great machine and at this price you will not be dissapointed. Trek, Giant, Fuji, Specialized, Giant, Look, Cannondale

You will see lesser bikes online selling for less, mine is the most reasonable price. Here are some liks of bikes selling for more.

Thanks

I tried negotiating with this gentleman some time ago (unsuccessfully). I don't think it's the greatest price in the world given condition, but it's an excellent bike and I think it would make one heck of a rider...

I've never heard of the sited tubing, but it looks nice and OS. I also LOVE how they do the internal routing. If that fork crown doesn't move you, seek therapy. Does anyone know anything about "Modello Elite" tubing?

A 68t track ring that isn't drilled for an inner ring I can see for some applications, but I haven't figured this one out.

Such potential.

Haven't heard of the tubeset.

...and where would a fellow score this decal set?

Two cms longer on the top tube and I would have next winter's project lined up.

I wonder if I have a 130 1a on the shelf in the basement........

It's a really cool bike - I'd probably leave it as is. If you wanted a decal set, I'd think you could one from the man himself...or there's always velocal and cyclomondo.

Been looking for a frame for my wife... That Ciocc could do the job. Just slightly large for her by a cm or two maybe. Need to do some figuring. I would do the honorable thing and convert it back to a multi-speed road frame.

Can anyone speculate on the vintage and model of that frame?

Thanks,

----Michael

Looks like a great deal on a Univega:

Road Bike - $125 (Boca Raton)

Yes this is an older road bike. It was kept inside, and hardly used. Still in perfect working condition. For 125 bucks you wont find a better deal. New tires, new handlebar, new aero bar, new seat.

It looks from 54 - 56 to me (at a guess). It does look big for 54, but it could be wonky geometry.
