As much as I can see that it's a mixte, it still looks like the top tube is missing.

[h=2]SCHWINN PARAMOUNT - $900 (CHERRY HILL)[/h]
1990 Waterford Paramount OS. Built in Waterford WI. 55cm center to top. 55cm top tube. This is a beautiful American made frame. It is the first year for the True Temper OS tubing. Color is called "Blue Velvet Gas". It is Blue pearl clearcoat over a purple base. Absolutelty beautiful in the sun. It has a few chips but overall is very clean. FSA carbon compact cranks, 172.5mm lg. Chris King headset, chrme fork. Dura Ace 8sp STI shifters work perfect. Dura Ace front and rear derailleurs. Rare Dura Ace seatpost and Selle San Marco seat, Shimano 105 brakes daul pivot brakes. I also have the original DA single pivot brakes that I will throw in if wanted, Deda handlebar and stem. Wheels: Dura Ace hubs laced to 32 hole Mavic cxp33 rims. Bearings are silky smooth and rims are straight and round. Vittoria open Pave` tires. No Pedals. This is a real classic, but I have too many bikes in the herd.

The frames on those bikes are fine, the wheels merely OK. But they would make decent CX bike starting points. The cranks are junk and surely so are the 7-speed drivetrains. But if the wheels are salvagable it might be possible to convert the rear to 8+ speed, put a nicer stem and drop bars in, Tektro levers, put in a used 8-speed drivetrain and shifters and you would have a couple of decent CX bikes for under $300 each.

The issue is these are such tiny frames (look like 52cm or thereabouts) -they would be more worthwhile if they were 54cm or larger.

One may scoff at these Asian-made frames but just about everything is Asian-made these days along the same lines as these old Trek Hybrids. Compare to a Surly Crosscheck frame the only real difference is the vertical dropouts -which are totally unnecessary (and actually a PITA) unless you are one of those SS/fixie numskulls.

Oh, Shimano. Forget it, then.

The last thing I need is ANOTHER early 90s OS tubeset. I have no interest in it at all, but I thought others might.

I'm not seeing front end damage, but I could also be wrong.

Santana Arriva Tandem - $2899 (Hemet, CA)

This is not quite C&V, but it is exceptional. I know this seller, and if he says it's perfect, it's very likely better than perfect.

I've seen this bike, and it's extraordinary.

Ancient CCM
https://olympic.craigslist.org/bik/3671667286.html

Here's a (possibly pre-war) CCM a couple blocks away from me. (seller's photo)

I checked it out briefly the other day, here's what I know:
Been at least partially repainted, probably a couple times on the fenders.
Fenders seem pretty rusty underneath; not sure if they are salvageable, or simply held together with extra paint.
Chrome is not too horrible.
Original 28" wheels seem surprisingly true, tires crumbling off.
Original (probably) leather saddle intact, but probably not usable.
Frame is not too rusty, but definitely a strip-repaint proposition.
Seller says it 'might' be a 3-speed (has a hollow axel, but the hub seems rather petite to be housing gears - I don't know anything about IGHs)

Be happy to shoot better pix and check other details if someone is pining away for one of these.

Bridgestone 26" Bicycle - $15 (Coconut Creek)

This bicycle is in used condition but still functions well. You can see in the picture that the seat is torn and will need to be recovered or replaced. Please e-mail with phone number if interested.

Love the paint. Wouldn't change it. Then again I own an Ironman 'Miami Vice' and love that paint scheme. No excuses for my love of 80s paint. BTW, I would love a solid pink bike.

Pink 'n white Nishiki Prestige in the "Terry" style (700c rear/24" front wheel), very small (looks like a 48cm.) $350. If my gf was 6" shorter I'd grab this.

There was the same bike for sale locally last spring for $80. My daughter and I went to look at it since both the description and pictures were lousy. She too would have had to shrink 6 inches for it to work.
