Potential PX-10? I'm leaning towards a model under that though.

Holy crap this bike is awesome and I will regret selling it. I am trying to finance a 29er setup that is the only reason I am selling this bike. You have to ride it to understand why. So comfortable and so fun. Nice parts and well put together. If you are interested in a parts break down let me know.

[h=2]MASI GRAN CORSA Vintage Columbus Steel Road Bike Shimano Dura Ace Camp - $750 (mission district)[/h]

I am letting go of one of my most prized bikes, a 1985 hand built, Columbus Steel Lugged Masi Gran Corsa Road bicycle. The Bike is a size 56cm and it is stamped on the bottom of the Bottom Bracket. The serial number, 8541 which was the numbering convention of most Masi's through the early 1990's, indicates production year 1985 and frame 41. This is also stamped on the bottom of the BB. The bike features SUPER RARE Pantographed Masi logos all over, including a Chrome Italian made Racing fork with Masi Pantographed on both sides. These markings alone make this a super rare and classic vintage find. The bike was recently completely overhauled and received a full tune-up with new cables, etc, read more on that below.

The bike is very well setup with vintage Shimano, Modolo, and Campagnolo parts, and includes basically a full Dura-Ace groupo, with the exception of the wheels, seatpost and the Ultegra Flight Deck brake levers. This is a classic, vintage Columbus steel produced road bike with so much character and feel over anything Masi makes these days. The build includes the following:

*Frame 56cm Columbus Steel Italian Frame
*Fork - Masi PANTOGRAPH Chrome Fork
*Front Derailleur - Suntour Superbe PRO
*Rear Derailleur - Shimano Dura-Ace
*Cranks - Shimano - Shimano Dura-Ace
*Brakes - Shimano Dura-Ace
*Brake Levers - Shimano Ultegra Flight Deck
*Wheels - Shimano WH-R500
*Bars - Modolo Speedy Brevettato
*Stem - Modolo Professional
*Seatpost - Campagnolo
*Seatpost - Specialized Evolution Kevlar

The bike was recently fully tuned and cleaned-up, including disassembly of all parts and components, deep cleaning of everything, brand new cables for both derailleurs and brakes, oiled cable housing, new brake pads and brand new tires and tubes.

The bike was ridden quite often to work and back these past few months, and I decided that this is too nice of a bike to just ride to work. Snag yourself a piece of history and pick up this bike. As they say, steel is real, and this bike is no different. It is one of the most comfortable rides out there. That being said, it is far from perfect. It has dings in the paint here and there, and scratches in the decals. Other than that, it still looks super nice and turns heads.

I am asking $750 for the complete bike as is in the pictures. I does not currently have pedals, but if you really need some, I can throw in a cheap pair. Please email or call if interested: 415-938-6458

Looks like a PX 10 to me, probably a 1973 or earlier. PX 10 was the only Peugeot with a chrome ass end(feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

A 1978 would have a plastic head-badge riveted to the head-tube. I'd check for the holes on this one, the badge is missing. No holes, probably before 1975, should be a decal. Seat tube decal appears to be 1970-1979 though. I think I can make out an "Inoxidable" sticker on the seat tube also. No telling, would have to see it in person.

[h=2]Vintage Bottecchia Bike with Campagnolo - Almost New! - $725 (Wakefield)[/h]

Vintage steel Bottecchia racing bike. Very well made frame (nice lugs, fork crown details, internal cable routing, etc.) of Columbus SL tubing with full Campagnolo components including hubs/wheels and Cinelli stem/bars. I bought this bike new around 1989 and have rarely ridden it - perhaps 300 miles total. It is in almost new condition: bright and shiny with virtually no marks, except the original white tape shows its age. The bike measures 53cm (center-to-center) seat tube, and therefore is good for someone of medium height (perhaps 5'6" to 5'10" or so). If interested, please email a phone number and I'll get back to you shortly. asking $725 Thanks

This one will probably require some changes--a nice mix of parts on a desirable touring frame, albeit in a less than ideal current configuration. Seems like someone robbed a race bike to equip this tourer. Note also the 24h wheels and swiss-threaded BB. Maybe someone's looking for these parts or could flip the parts and keep the frame?

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/bik/3708824691.html

[h=2]Custom vintage french Motobecane. Campagnolo. Ideale - $650 (oakland hills / mills)[/h] Older French Motobecane grand touring. Original bars have been re-wrapped with leather brooks tape. Period correct french made Ideale leather saddle in great condition. Cross top brake levers with all new cables inner and outer. Vintage period correct Campagnolo super record brakes that stop on a dime. Original Motobecane crank arms with Campy super record Pista pedals and Christophe chrome toe straps with single leather strap. Custom built wheel set that was built by a race shop back in the 80's and they have around a thousand miles on them or so. They are american made matrix rims with stainless bladed spokes and laced up to vintage Campy super record hubs. Campy skewers included as well. These wheels are tubular and I have just mounted a bran new Kenda super domestique competition tire on the rear. There is a continental gyro on the front. They are not standard clincher wheels with a tube insert, you have to glue these wheels on to your rim. This is one of the smoothest bikes I have ever ridden. The tubular tires on the super record hubs is incredible. It has a vintage Campagnolo Super Record rear derailleur that shifts like butter every time. Period correct Campy tension shift lever to match. The freewheel is a competition Suntour winner pro. The teeth are 14-16-18-20-23-26. The front chain ring is 52 tooth. This was a great combination of gears for me for commuting with hills and flat. You can play around with different gears for yourself or add a front derailleur and another chain ring if you think you need more gears. I did not. This is a solid reliable bike for weekend road trips or daily commuting and ready to go. This bike is super light and you won't ride a quieter bicycle. I am 5' 8" and the bike works fine for me. It would suit someone slightly taller as well. The only thing that could make it better is a phil wood bottom bracket. It still has the original bottom bracket. It works fine but a phil wood would finish the bike off right. It's a swiss threaded bottom bracket and they are one of the only companies making them. Nice cartridge style though and totally worth it. I don't need two bikes anymore. Come test ride if you're interested. I've got way more than this into the bike. Price is firm. thanks

^That's a great deal. Maybe the seller grew tired of sophomoric jokes from the non-cognoscenti.

OMG, is that one of those Shimano Uniglide chains from the late '70s that I see on there??? I had one on my '75 Fuji briefly back then - that was the chain that I had stretched to almost unsuable after only ~2000 miles. Seriously, it only lasted a month and a half back when I was riding 400+ miles/week.

Good to know. I figured that wasn't a perfect way to ID a PX10 since there's no mention of it on any of the Peugeot websites.
