This is about as C&V as I've seen in these here parts:

https://spokane.craigslist.org/bik/3776695124.html

[h=2]1948 schwinn racer *RARE* - $400 (springdale)[/h]

For Schwinn Lovers, a Pre-Fire 1948 Schwinn. the serial numbers are in the right place and have the right series of numbers. the bolts of this beautiful bike are even marked AS. The crank is 3 piece with AS & CO in it. 90% original, it even has a handle bar lock. Made to show off Schwinns most advanced designs at the time, this bike would be a centerpiece of a collection. Give me a call, Pat at 509-217-3100 and come and take a look.

Klein attitude\Adroit late 91\92 thats one of those rare years when they did the interchangeable frame I think a decent price for a collector, I bet Malibu on ebay snaps that up put it on buy it now for $2800 and of it goes to europe. I am tempted but all set to fund my new cannondale. Plus a strata fork which can go for $700. Its priced for a collector with no room for a mark-up on the east coast but if it goes to Japan or Europe it can easily get $2500+ with Kooka and magura brake boosters..

Probably overpriced (though maybe an interested party could change that with an offer), and it's a shame that the PO cut off the race number tab, but a pretty looking frame (to me at least) nonetheless. Listed as a Bianchi TSX. Not sure if that's a description of the tubing or the model name or both.

[h=2]Pinarello Stelvio Frameset - $330 (Metrowest)[/h]

Used Pinarello Stelvio lugged steel frameset with Campagnolo Record headset. Mid/late 90's, probably 97-98. Dedacciai Dolmen tubing. Overall, the frameset is in very good condition. Black pearl paint is generally good but there are some scrapes, most significant is a couple spots on the top tube, that is down to the primer. No rust, dings, dents, cracks or damage to tubing.

Pinarello chrome dropouts. Pinarello seat post bolt. Chromed driveside chainstay. Chromed sloping fork crown. Fully lugged with some nice cutout and pantograph work. Italian threaded bottom bracket and braze-on for front derailleur. Top tube has internal routing for rear brake cable. Seat tube is 51cm (ctc) and top tube is 52.5cm (ctc) by my measurement. Rear spacing is 130mm. Takes a 27.2 seat post.

Bike rides smooth, is quick handling and very responsive. Was built up with Campagnolo that is being moved to another slightly larger and less race-like frameset. I don't see a lot of these for sale locally or on the web, so it's a little difficult to say what the market/pricing is and am open to negotiation.

Include your name, location & phone number when responding. If the listing is up, then the frameset is still available.

The only thing missing is me bidding on it....oh and another 4" of seat tube..... but ya, wow, this is a very nice example, I'd expect this to end up north of 6K.

Supply and demand. There's also probably a psychic premium for the seller's credibility. Sure is a nice bike and I bet it doesn't end up on the regret-a-purchase thread.

I'm with Pars here I'm seeing a lot of cool bike here likely $2500-3000 maybe more but I'm not get $5000 with mutliple bids. Yet just a cool bike. This thing is art and price is therefore very subjective.

It is one of the many odd shaped Tri type bikes from the late '80s early '90s. Trimble is likely better known for his more traditional but solid sided bike.

Along with the sublime condition, the seller is actually what I believe is selling the draw. Bicycle Quarterly's Jan Heine has a hell of a story to go with the machine and being that it was brought over from Europe to be featured in his Rene Herse book can only be good PR for the sale.

Take a read about it here.

Probably not old enough to be considered C&V, but it is steel and I know someone on another C&V thread was wanting to know about brands with cool paint jobs. I think this one looks cool (and it's even my size), but I've read that Columbus Genius is too thin tubing for someone like me who is on the wrong side of 200 lbs.

Colnago Columbus SLX Spiral Conic!

Very nice and rare Colnago, with shaped Columbus SLX tubing. This is a vintage bike, but it is in extremely good condition for it's age and it has not been abused.

Pretty cool: https://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218...arch=&ad_cid=7

Awesome 853 Reynolds steel hardtail bike. This bike was an original Croll with steel tubing and Ritchey dropouts that was recently powder-coated in Orange (Slight glitter) Bike is setup with Marzocchi Z.2 Atom Bomb fork and mix of Shimano parts. Currently setup as 1x8 with LX crankset, XT rear d, XT/XTR brake levers. I have front derailleur and XTR shifter pod if you want to setup as geared front end. Salsa stem, TV Hussefelt riser bar. This is a cool bike and just have too many bikes.

[h=2]1980's Battaglin - 57cm Italian Road Bike with Campagnolo - $625 (Brighton)[/h] Planned to keep the parts and just sell the frame, but going a different direction and selling the lot.

Bike can be seen evenings in Brighton, steps from a B line T stop. Please include a phone number in your response so I know you are human.
Here is what I know / think I know:

Late 1980's Battaglin Frame. 57 square c-c. Chrome fork with with tangs coming down from the crown. Tubing is Columbus (most likely SL). Great shape with a few minor spots that were touched up, not an amazing job but the spots are all on the white paint so won't be too hard to fix if you want it to look perfect.
Components are all Campagnolo, including the seatpost and headset. Most likely Athena (some might be Chorus, they shared a lot of the same parts). All great/near mint shape. Cranks 170, brake levers and hoods look nearly brand new.
Shimano 600AX stem. Mint condition and beautiful.
Mavic handlebars, engraved logo.
Campy hubs laced to FIR Quasar tubular rims. Excellent shape. Clement Strada TT tires, nothing fancy but decent and new/very low miles. 7 speed Shimano Sante freewheel.
Concor saddle.

PLEASE NOTE. I am told that there is a good chance the fork is not original. Most other Battaglins I have seen have engraved fork crowns and this one does not, also threading is British (as is headset threading), steerer is marked Tange, dropouts are Shimano. Absolutely no sign of crash damage on the frame, so not sure why the fork would have been replaced.

$625 as pictured.
$275 F/F/HS
$425 Everything but F/F/HS
