Trek 620 52cm Blackburn edition touring collector's - $500 (wauconda)

Date: 2009-11-23, 1:11AM CST
Reply to: sale-gew4e-1478383847@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a 1984 Trek 620 touring bike, still one of the best around. The condition is great, most of the parts are new, the frame is a reynolds 531 alloy. Light, fast and beautiful bike.

Included are the original blackburn bottle holder and rack, which are collector's items in their own right. I owned the bike for 2 years, and it has about 400 miles on it from me. Below is a listing of the mostly new parts on the bike, and they alone are worth more than most new bikes. Trek prices this 1984 bike at a alue of 560, without these new parts. But i think the pictures speak for themselves.

Cranks: Shimano Dura-Ace Triple
Shifters and Derailers: Shiamno Deore Bar-end STS
Pedals: new Specialized commuter pedals (aluminum) with clip slots
Brakes: Shimano Deore
Seat: 2008 Cannondale
Brake levers: Shimano 600
Bars: Carbon-alloy, fairly new Modolo
Stem: 3ttt aluminum

Also brand new black cork bar tape. the tires in the picture are vitorria rubinos, i will replace them with IRC paperlite plus 700 by 23 reinforced tires (gumwall) if you want, or you can keep these.

This is a great bike as a starter road bike, a professional touring bike, or just to add to your collection of Treks.

500 obo

shoot me an email if you're interested

Mens French Touring Bicycle (Goregous) - $250 (Downers Grove,Illinois)

This is a Mens Fontan (Made in France) 10 speed Touring bicycle from the early 70s. The frame is lugged but I am unable to read the tubing decal. The frame size is 24 1/2 inches (approximately 62cm) and should fit riders 6'2 and taller. The bike has 27X1 1/4 Mallard large flange hubs with steel rims and new yellow gumwall tires, Huret 10 speed friction downtube shifters and derailleurs, aluminum racing style handlebars with threadless stem adapter, new silver chain, aluminum Mafac Racer brakes with quick releases, Dura Ace drilled brake levers with hoods, Sugino 3 piece cotterless crankset, aluminum pedals, aluminum full front and rear fenders with aluminum front and rear touring racks, front and rear lights with generator, Vetta TT tri saddle and a kickstand. The bottom bracket has been serviced as well as the shifter and brake cables and housing replaced. The bike is a glossy red trimmed with Frontan French decals and in excellent condition. The bike shifts, brakes and steers properly and the wheels are straight and spin freely. The bike also has the long horizontal rear dropouts. The bike can be delivered in the Chicagoland area for a 10.00 delivery fee. E-mail or call Jack at 630-724-9287 with any questions or to request larger photos.

Early 80s Motobecane Super Mirage - $110 (Platteville)

Here is an excellent commuting bike for someone 6' tall or taller. An early 80's Motobecane Super Mirage in very nice condition with new tires and tubes this summer. All works as it should. Think that this is a 25" model with a standover height in the neighborhood of 34". Wheels are straight and true. Shifts well. Decent bike at an excellent price that will serve you for many years to come.

I've come down a TON on price. Let's get it gone.

Direct serious inquiries to Mark at: wsp166@yahoo.com
Thanks!!

Wow, 75 bikes. If you ever wanted to start a side-business bicycle shop, now is the time. Seriously. Offer used parts and cheap fixes. If you part out half the bikes, you wouldn't have to buy anything new except cables.

Do it. Buy the bikes and start a business. Sell half of t hem for $25.00 each.

In today's world, your side job might be good insurance in case you lose your regular job.

Visiting family in Florida over Thanksgiving and I came across this. Good deal for someone local, depending on the definition of "fair" (and fwiw, an A-D SL is Puch 2700, not 501, and if we want to get picky it's Salzburg Blue, not Stuttgart Blue).

Austrian road bike in fair condition. 27"x 1x1/4, 10 speed. Reynolds 501. From what I can find it's a super light. The color is called Stuttgart Blue, I believe. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but a few spins told me I really don't need a bike this fast. Got an old mans bike Saturday.
