I have had this classic French touring bike since 1971! It is, I think a 24 inch bike and was considered pretty racy for its time with a Reynolds aluminum frame, lightweight crank, Mafac wheels and all-Campagnolo componenets. It has always been fitted with sew-up tires but has none on it now. This would make a very cool retro street racer after being stripped down, powder-coated and refitted with the latest wheels and components.

No idea, is this a nice bike?

62cm, Reynolds 531, chrome Nervex lugs and chrome fork ends with Campy dropouts, full Campy NR except period-correct Weinmann centerpull brakes, Cinelli stem and bars, Brooks Pro saddle, Mavic sew-up rims in excellent shape, Clement Criterium tires, new Regina Oro chain. Black paint has flaws around top tube cable clips, otherwise in good condition, as is chrome. Rides great. If you are tall enough to fit this frame, here's your chance to ride like it's 1973.

58cm steel lugged Touring/Cyclocross bike - $325 (Fitchburg)

This is a 1985 21-speed Panasonic Touring Deluxe that was restored and upgraded with modern wheelset.
The Tange 1000 lugged steel frame was blasted, primed, painted, and given a clear coat (along with
fancy Peugeot decals, because I couldn't find any Panasonic - call it a "Faux Peugeot").

Its a very versatile machine. With a tough steel frameset, and canti brakes, it makes a nice cyclocross rig (which is what
I used it for this season). It would also make a nice loaded touring bike, as it has barcons, and all the
eyelets necessary to throw racks on it. Or as a winter commuter. Or you could turn it into a fixed gear and make
a hipster happy for christmas.

The frame is in excellent shape, and overall very well-maintained.

Features:
Deep V alloy wheelset (just overhauled and repacked the hubs) PLUS quick release skewers
Shimano 600EX triple crankset (48/38/28 with 175 mm cranks)
Shimano Deore XT cantilever brakes with Dia Compe brake levers
Shimano 600EX sealed headset
Shimano 600EX Ultegra barcon indexed shifters
Deore XT rear der
Bianchi stem with removable faceplate
Laprade shorty seatpost (can swap for a longer one if you require)
Bontrager Race Lux saddle
Kenda cross tires

Very nice "vintage" 1985 Raleigh Suercourse. Frame is nicely lugged and tubing is 555sl. The two-tone paint on this bike is in outstanding condition and there are no dents or dings in the frame. The crank, brakes and stem were recently polished. It is spec'ed with an SR crank, suntour cyclone shifters/derailers, campy brake hoods, and diacompe royal comp brakes. It has vertical dropouts for single speeding or fixie conversion. Price is $175. Justin 210-725-3800.

"New Dutch style handlebars" on Ebay. For that "old school" look... I ordered one and looks like they have more. Chrome steel. Cost is 10 pounds, or $16 plus shipping. I'm putting them on my old english 3 speed frame.

Note: the display bike on their ebay page has a sleek looking chain guard I'm eyeballing too.

Tommasini Sintesi - 57.5cm - Columbus SLX - $475 (St. Paul)

Date: 2009-11-30, 11:08PM CST
Reply to: sale-c5hqm-1489348106@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ra...489348106.html

Hi, up for sale is a 90's Tommasini Sintesi w/chrome lugs and Columbus SLX NEW tubing. handmade in Italy, it features a chrome fork and rear stays, internal cable routing and dura-ace components. Size is 57.5 c-c. The frame has some issues which I will describe below.

Components include:
Dura-Ace 8 speed STI shifter/brakes
Dura-Ace rear der.
Shimano 600 cranks and front der.
Dura-Ace hubs
Dura-Ace dual pivot brakes
Cinelli bars
Sun Venus rims
Specialized saddle
27.2 seatpost
handcarved lugs and pantographed "T" on bottom bracket shell.

more pics can be seen at:

https://s735.photobucket.com/albums/w...oto/Tommasini/

I bought this bike online a few months ago, not knowing that it was damaged. The components were good and I figured that I could just find another frame and swap out all the components, instead I found another complete bicycle so I'm just looking to get some of my money back from this bike. The components are all really nice and work perfect. I rode the bike for about a week before I realized it was damaged, but the shifters worked great, wheels are true and fast, and brake pads have lots of life left.

The frame is damaged and appears to have been in a crash. It suffers a small crack on the inside of the drive side chainstay near the bottom bracket, and a slight bend to the top tube near the head tube. Although I am not an expert rider, I didn't notice any odd handling when riding it, I only saw the crack when I was wiping down the frame one night. and then only found the bend in the top tube when I was told to place a level along the underside of the top tube.
The chainstay can be repaired with a patch weld or can be replaced, although you will have to get part of the bike repainted. CycleArt, a bike repair shop in CA told me over the phone that this is a common repair, and that they did have the Columbus SLX tubes in the warehouse. I imagine that local framebuilders would be able to repair this as well.

This would be a great project bike for some one interested in that, or it could be a good bike to just set on the trainer or rollers in the basement to ride through the winter. Or it could just be a good parts bike. Come by and check it out.

thanks for looking.
