I love my Hollands.

One of the nicer riding road bicycles a person could own.

The frame details on mine are very, very nice.

I'm not too excited about the build on this one, but it sure would be sweet with an Athena 11 speed gruppo bolted to it.

Those frames have never had components mounted, just look at the dropouts will tell you that. They were probably replacement frames/forks or frames/forks intended to be built to customer specs that never got sold. At least that's how they look in the photos.

[h=2]1990 Fuji Saratoga Touring Bike (Barn Find!) - $250 (Medfield)[/h] © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

I have a classic Fuji Saratoga touring bike for sale. It has been stored properly since the early 90's, and upon finding it the other day I decided to get it back into working order. Being owned by a professional bicycle mechanic, I can definitively say it has very few miles on it. Everything except for the front tire and inner tubes is stock on the bike and still works like new! It has a new Bontrager T2 27"x1.25" and Specialized inner tubes. It rides very well and the XCE drivetrain is smooth as can be. Every pivot and moving part on the bike has been greased and it received a meticulous cleaning. Come check it out and give it a spin to experience just how nice it is! I am asking $250 pretty firm, considering its great condition. If you have any questions or want any more info on it, please don't hesitate to text* or email me. Just write "Fuji Saratoga" in the header of the email or first line of the text. Thanks!

Huh. That was $100 this morning. I emailed and the guy said he had an offer for $150, and would I beat it? I guess he wised up. Still a steal at $200, but I don't feel like driving to Perry Hall.

Yeah, it looks like its my size, but for 200 plus driving, it just isn't worth it for me to trek over there.. That turbo saddle looks sweet though.

There appears in the photo, and this is strictly a judgement based on a pic so it could be wrong, but it appears as if there is a fail amount of rusting and pitting of the chrome on the Scapin, if that is the case then where else has rust settled? Inside the BB?

[h=2]VINTAGE TREK Bike w/Reynolds 531 Frame - $110 (Tyler)[/h]

Hard to find vintage Trek bicycle which I believe to be either a 610, 613 or 614 model, but not positive. It has a Reynolds 531 frame. I am not precisely sure what first letter or symbol of the serial number is - it looks like a reversed "N" but could possibly be an "M". The serial number is seven characters long and mixed with letters and numbers(?EF 0A11). I tested the shifters and brakes and they work fine. The rear wheel has three broken spokes and could possibly be slightly bent. I say this only because when I turn the bike upside down and turn the crank, the rim spins freely for 75% of the revolution but always ends up rubbing against one of the brake pads and you can see that there is some off-kilter movement. I am not a bike person so I have no idea if this is an actual bend in the wheel or the wheel just needing truing. Visually I cannot detect any bend. Those are Matrix Titan rims, 27" x 13mm. The frame and forks were both inspected and have no cracks, dents, or dings. The pedals are Sakae RR-4002, the foot binding is Christophe Special Brevete. The dropouts are Suntour. The standover height from top of top post to floor is 34.5", from middle of seatpost tube to middle of headtube is 23.5, from top of seatpost tube to middle of bottom bracket is 25.5", and from middle of downtube to middle of bottom bracket is 25.5". There is surface rust on some parts. The tires have cracking as you can see. The rear inner tube holds air fine but the front need replacing. The crank sounds and feels fairly smooth and turns fine. Please take a look at pictures for more details. Really nice price for the cool vintage Trek road bike, just needs a small bit of TLC. This is for weekend pickup in Tyler, Tx. Text(preferred) or email only please.

and it's lugged rather than welded? Fillet Brazed? It's incredibly hard to tell, If it is fillet, man those are tiny.

That bike makes me want to sell all my extraneous vintage bikes and buy one.

[h=2]Miyata Frame - $30 (Florence)[/h]

Cheap, solid, but nothing special.
Miyata One-Ten Frame circa 1980s. Large. Includes cranks, saddle, stem and handlebars, fork.

This bike has a lot of scratches and scuffs on it, but nothing that compromises its structural integrity. I have it set up as a fixed gear, but it could be converted back to a geared road bike.

A few problems: I have't been able to get the seat post to budge. Previous owner put a shim in it -- if you're handier than I am, you might have better luck. I'm 5'11" and it is just barely too big for me.
Also, the fork needs some attention -- a good clean-up would probably be enough.

A cheap as-is bike that needs a set of wheels and a little work.

$30.

For $30 plus maybe another $127 for a cheap set of wheels, see: https://www.amazon.com/ZeroLite-Road-...bicycle+wheels and you have a decent commuter bike. Not sure what's wrong with the wheels other than their not equal in size from the photo appearance, but maybe one of the wheels could be rebuilt. Problem is if there are other issues that require parts and perhaps labor you could easily exceed the value of the bike.

I think this is awfully cool, but I think price is HIGHLY optimistic for a Japanese repaint.

CLphiladelphiaall for sale / wantedbicycles - by owner

[h=2] Dave Scott Centurion frame - 54cm - custom paint! CX? Touring? - $200 (South Philly)[/h]Daly St at 12th St S

For sale is a frame I bought that I just haven't gotten around to putting together--so I'm passing on the pleasure of doing so to someone else. This is a frame that was, or maybe still is, one of the awesome Dave Scott Centurion road bikes, specifically the Expert Ironman, only the previous owner got it into their head to have cantilever posts and a brake guide welded into the frame. The Expert Ironmans were, to my knowledge, made with Tange 1 tubing, so it's pretty light. It has racy geometry--including the wheel spacing--so I can imagine it as some sort of strange cyclocross bike that somehow only fits narrow tires. Or, for those urban riders out there, a great road bike you can put cantilever brakes on.

Some measurements: 54cm seat tube - 55cm top tube - BSA bottom bracket - 1" headset threading - 130 OLN

And that brings us to the best part about the bike! This paint job is incredible. It's a kind of adobe clay tan color with native America motifs, looks like it was all hand-painted and then clear-coated, with a marvelous bison headbadge drawing.

Any questions, or if you'd like to stop by and check the frame out, let me know. Thanks for looking!

yeah, it looks like a 27 and a 700, right?
also, the stuck seatpost is a bit of a pain.
I MIGHT have a friend go grab it for me... not sure.

If your friend knows bikes and can look at and say yea or nay then why not? The seat post should come out just read this as to how: https://sheldonbrown.com/stuck-seatposts.html I would not put a lot of money into that bike though, you need to find ways to do necessary repairs cheap as possible, for example if one wheel is a 700 and the rear brakes will contact a 700 size rim then all you need is a 700 rear rim if the front 700 can be rebuilt. If the brakes don't fit then simply replace the front 700 with a 27" rim and rebuild the rear 27 if it can be rebuilt. Also if the rear brakes don't fit a 700 typically it's more expensive to put on new calipers that would (note I said typically). You might also be able to find used parts.

This Cannondale feminine pink bike is truly a bargain-it costs $1,653.99 new! We are only asking $250. This bike is 47cm.

Problem is if there are other issues that require parts and perhaps labor you could easily exceed the value of the bike.
I was thinking the same thing: the front appears to be a 650b or a combination of 27" rear and 700c front?

oops, someone beat me to it, sorry for the redundant post.

Nice looking touring rig:

[h=2]Cannondale T700 (Liberty Lake or Valley)[/h]

This is a 19", mid-90s touring bike. The frame is in great shape, very few scratches or dings. Components are Shimano (rear derailleur is stx model). Saddle is in good shape, rims are straight, tires have tread. Needs pedals and probably chain. Definitely needs to be cleaned and tuned. One owner. Always stored inside. If you love old Cdales, this is a great buy. Clean her up this winter and ride in the spring. $250 obo
