[h=2]1972 Colnago Super road bike - $700 (Claremore)[/h]

Selling this beautiful 1972 Colnago Super. All Campagnolo Record and Nuovo Record parts, old Brooks saddle and two wheelsets, one low-flange tubular wheelset and the high-flange wheelset pictured, both with Campy hubs. It is a 57cm. A collector's item for sure, this was a Tour-level bike in its day, but certainly rideable. Recent Vittoria rubber, other than that all period-correct parts.

[h=2]1992 Bridgestone RB-1 Road Bike 56cm Ultegra **NEAR MINT** - $700 (N Tampa)[/h]

For sale is a 1992 Bridgestone RB1 road bike, size 56cm. This bicycle was handbuilt out of premium Ishiwata 022 tubing and is the holy grail of lugged steel bicycles. This was purchased from a collector who bought the bike new and put under 300 miles on it. It is near mint, and it even has the original tires. It was stored indoors since purchased and has absolutely NO rust anywhere, including the chain. This bicycle has a full Shimano Ultegra Tri-color 6400 component group and it shifts crisp and smooth. You will not find an RB-1 in this condition, with this low of mileage. 56cm frame is fit for riders 5'8-6'1 Thanks for looking!

It's a Team Scandium frameset, I had one and it was an excellent bike. That is a pretty good price too.

Here is a nice looking and cheap RB-1 in Maine

And another nice looking cheap Rb-1 in Austin. The fork looks tweaked in the photo but I think it is just the angle of the photo, look at the shadows.

Another Confente crosses the block on ebay, $8500 plus $146 shipping. 61.5 cm used hard and put away wet, failing paint on top tube and failing chrome on fork crown (typical on the early ones) #36 from the LA operation.
Unusual color, light turquoise.
Winner was bidding against the reserve, runner up was about half the transaction price.

No info about the components used? I think the "Mavic" rims have been relabeled due to the fact that "Mavic" decal is not centered between the two spokes like all the Mavic rims I have ever owned, could be a factory error, but I do know you can buy just the labels. It is a low end frame though with stamped dropouts.

I think they are original labels. Just checked my Mavic rims and they aren't centered. But Mavic's would have been the standard for most French bikes of this vintage. Weinmann brakes, Pivo stem and bar, Universal Duprat crank Lyotard pedals, VaLentino derailleurs, maybe Gnuttti hubs? not sure. Paint and decals are amazing condition. $150!!!!

I only have one set of old Mavic's left now and their tubs being unused but the labels are centered. Can't recall for sure anymore because it's been years since I've had other rims with those labels so they may have been off centered and I just don't remember anymore.

Would make a great coffee bike with straight bars.

Tubulars are no issue, as I likely have plenty of used tubs to choose from for low speed jaunts.

Price seems cheap, but we find this type of bicycle fairly often when we are hunting at garage sales for vintage stereo and fly fishing gear.

I could see myself building and renoing something like this one in the spring.

Could be snazzy and low cost fun.
