It looks closer to a 60 to me judging by the headtube. I don't think the frame is as old as the seller thinks but the Victory drive train is definitely newer than the frame. It looks interesting though but not a that price, maybe closer to 300

Yes, the drivetrain is a let-down and the age is questionable. 1966 is when they won the World Championship, not the date of production. Any guess as to the tubing supplier?

I wouldn't call the drivetrain a let down... I happen to like the lines of the Vic/Tri crank and the derailleur uses the same demensions as the vaunted Record so shifts about the same. tubing your asking a lot it all depends on the level of the bike maybe Columbus maybe Falck who is to say

Why not play golf or tennis when you are in the land of the rising sun, rather than browse C/L?

What a nice bike that is. I love chrome forks and stays, but that black stem had got to go. If that pump has the Campy chrome head, it alone is worth darn near $75 depending on condition of course.

Nishiki Cresta GT in San Diego for $50

Too small for me, or I'd be interested. A high quality steel touring bike that with a new saddle, tune up, and clean up will be quite nice:

I agree, but I bet it will sit awhile. Might be a good opportunity for someone to pick it up cheaper.

I appreciate your posts, Cougrrcj.
I'm heading back to Phoenix for a family visit at the end of February and there is a good chance I may try and pick up one, or more, of these gems.

By the way, the Domenic's is really a gorgeous bicycle.
