Man, they sure do have good taste of bicycles in San Fran. First the Super Mondia last week and now this.

I wonder how much this retailed for?

That is a beautiful bike, I once pondered getting one new but I couldn't justify the expense at the time! I can't recall the price at the time when it was new but I think it was around $3500 with Campy components and that was in the late 90's or early 2000 (that one had chrome forks, more yummy!) My common sense took over my lust for it!

But for $15 they should have at least put new tape on it! That tape looks nasty. They had other color schemes for those, but that was one that I liked the best.

Frame is pretty, but I could just never get into straight forks. That's one of my main problems with so many modern bikes too.

Trek 520, $375

Decent price (I wouldn't pay it, but some folks want Trek and Trek only, so for those folks the $150 brand addition makes it a good deal). Pretty medium size. Won't last long.

That might be a Japan-made frameset, which would be a good thing.

I like curved forks more myself but I can like straight if there done right and that Colnago is made to look good as are the chromed versions of that fork. I don't like the look of most modern bikes either, and I hate black, I hate the industrial look a lot of bikes have yet I own a bike with straight black forks! It's my least favorite looking bike I own but became my favorite bike to ride, but time marches on, and to get something sort of lightweight (I have Lynskey Peloton) I had to make some concessions and straight black carbon forks is all you can get these days unless you get a custom steel bike which would have cost more than what I paid and wouldn't gotten me anything really different than what I already don't own in my small stable! I got the same issue with todays cars too, I hate modern cars but time marches on and eventually I don't have choice, even though I also have a small vintage car collection it's not practical to drive those everyday so I'm forced to make concessions to have an everyday driver at least for my wife and long trips, I drive a 72 Chrysler Newport to work when I don't ride the bike.

Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 25"

Probably too large for me, but for someone who can comfortably ride a 25"/63cm frame, this could be a really good deal at $137.

Notice the badly bent fork in a couple pictures, and a new chrome replacement fork in one. I think I also see some paint damage near the head tube in the third to last picture, so the frame quite possibly has some damage from the crash that bent the fork.

That would be cool but only on a Bianchi, any other bike would just look out of place.

Good catch! It's in picture number 9. Definitely damaged. I wouldn't buy it.
