I don't like the look of most modern bikes either, and I hate black, I hate the industrial look a lot of bikes have yet I own a bike with straight black forks! It's my least favorite looking bike I own but became my favorite bike to ride, but time marches on, and to get something sort of lightweight (I have Lynskey Peloton) I had to make some concessions and straight black carbon forks is all you can get these days unless you get a custom steel bike which would have cost more than what I paid and wouldn't gotten me anything really different than what I already don't own in my small stable! I got the same issue with todays cars too, I hate modern cars but time marches on and eventually I don't have choice, even though I also have a small vintage car collection it's not practical to drive those everyday so I'm forced to make concessions to have an everyday driver at least for my wife and long trips, I drive a 72 Chrysler Newport to work when I don't ride the bike.

Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 25"

Probably too large for me, but for someone who can comfortably ride a 25"/63cm frame, this could be a really good deal at $137.

[edit]Never mind - probably damaged...[/edit]

Notice the badly bent fork in a couple pictures, and a new chrome replacement fork in one. I think I also see some paint damage near the head tube in the third to last picture, so the frame quite possibly has some damage from the crash that bent the fork.

That would be cool but only on a Bianchi, any other bike would just look out of place.

Good catch! It's in picture number 9. Definitely damaged. I wouldn't buy it.

Thanks for pointing out those issues, Pat and Tom - that's what I get for looking at the photos on my cell phone...

Vintage Bianchi Celeste Road Bike (late 80's) - $500 (Lee's Summit)

https://kansascity.craigslist.org/bik/4315428065.html

This is an all Italian made Bianchi road bike I bought new around 1990. It is in excellent condition and ready to ride. It has Formula Columbus frame and fork, Ambrosio 19 Elite wheels, Specialized Touring Turbo tires, Royal Grand Compe brakes, Ofmega chain sprockets and deraileurs, Ofmega shifters, and Bianchi saddle. It needs no work and everything works properly. The last time I rode it was several years ago in the MS 150. It has been in dry storage since. Price is $500 and I would deliver to KC area after payment. Cash only.

I've had this bike for two years and it's served me well as a general getting-around-town bike. I think it's roughly a 50cm frame (I'm 5'6" and it fits just fine.)

Contact me with questions or to set up a time to come see it/test ride it. Serious inquiries only, please.
