53cm Cinelli Proxima frame & fork--Columbus Thron - $125 (berkeley north / hills)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

1637 Francisco St
(google map) (yahoo map)

Cleaning out my storage shed, and getting rid of lots of stuff ... This is a frame / fork that I bought at a bike swap years ago, intending to build it up and never did. Bought it for $225; yours for lots less.

The Campy headset grinds a little bit, but it's possible that you could just repack the bearings. Otherwise, a very nice frame.

I would be after this (likely in the car now) but it is just too small. This is a very unusual design and built with MAX frame and fork. The seller claims it came from Italy and I don't think any were ever brought into the US even though it was cataloged in '90 as Deore XT equipped machine. The seller calls it a 18 the size is likely a 55.

Yeah, that Bianchi MTB does look pretty nifty. It has a headlight. I wonder if it's any good. I see it's been stripped of its derailleurs, but that's not a deal killer. It's also interesting that it has what I call all-rounder bars. Do you suppose they're original?

[h=2]Vintage Mondia Frame, Reynolds 531 with Campagnolo - $175 (Wakefield)[/h]

Vintage (circa early 70's) Swiss Mondia Special frame and fork. Made of Reynolds 521 butted tubing with nice Nervex Professional lugs and Campagnolo dropouts. Frame is good condition: straight with no dings or dents, but some paint/decal fading and chips. Measures about 52cm center to center on the seat tube and about 55 ctc on the top tube (so, with proper stem/seatpost length, should fit almost anyone of medium size). With no brake/derailleur braze-ons would also make a cool single speed/fixed gear. I also have appropriate high-end vintage parts (Campy, Dura Ace, Cinelli, etc.) available at extra cost should you want them. If interested, please email a contact number - other emails disregarded. Thanks

I'm trying, and I think I know the seller (one of the best departed members here), but there's a lot of competition and my funds are limited.

Agree w/ @delicious that it's a great price on a very nice bike.

It should also be held out to other CL posters how you can pretty easily present a bike for sale in that medium. I count 16 photos. I would only quibble about the lack of a straight-on drive side shot.

With more braze-ons than you can shake a stick at, how about a drop bar conversion for your young one .

https://www.ebay.com/itm/281275259124...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

This auction is for an original chrome Mongoose ATB 15 speed. This would be a great first mountain bike for a youngster, or a reliable classic for a small statured adult. This item is for local pickup only.

15 speed (3x5)
Suntour thumb shifters
Dia Compe cantilever brakes
Sakae Crankset
Suntour Derailleurs
Internal cable routing
Gumwall 24" tires
