Centurion LeMans 12
Originally bought it for $350

Rarely ridden and I recently paid $120 to have it tuned for my grandson to have a bike to ride when he visited, but it has not been ridden since it was turned. $125 OBO.
Brochure: Centurion Bicycles 1984 Catalogue

Description: Our Strongest, Lightest High performance recreational bike. The Le ans 12 features full main tubes of double-butted chromoly. Plus aluminum crankset, rims, handlebars, hubs, derailleurs, and seat post. And it rolls on low-maintenance stainless steel spokes. It all adds up to an effortless 25.1 pounds of strong, reliable and comfortable bicycle.
Curious that these wheels are strung 4-cross. I thought that was a recent thing..

Well, this is interesting... Same pix, different CL listing... the one above is $250, in Roseville, CA, but this one is $400 in San Francisco. Also pretty sure the Shimano bits are not part of the "all original parts" claimed in both ads. Guess someone is trying to capitalize on the overheated Bay Area market.

Here's another one, also sans original parts, although I guess some people like the Sante stuff.

E-mailed the seller and the RB-1 is already gone

Thanks for the tip, though.

I could have gone out and got it, but it was in a sketchy neighborhood. The seller had a phone number from outside the area and sounded like a young kid. I was going to flip it, but didn't want to risk getting a stolen bike.

[h=2]1985 Cinelli Equipe Centurion Road Bike Bicycle

1985 Cinelli Equipe Centurion Road Bike Bicycle - $850 (Port Townsend, WA)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

1984 / 1985 Cinelli Equipe Centurion 22 1/2" center of crank to top of seat post. Serial # 56
Cinelli built frame (Italian), Columbus SL tubing, Chrome: crown, stay, ends, cut outs, lugs. Campy Nuovo Record derailleur , Univ Aer Brakes. Campagnolo Cranks, Cinelli 1A Stem, Miche headset, Icon Bars and Campy Veloce 9sp shift levers.

There is a spot where cables rubbed off paint and it has some surface rust - see the picture.

This has not been ridden since it was tuned up - new tires and new alloy rims - about 2 years ago. It has been in storage. This bike belonged to my brother since new and he has passed away. This was his favorite bike to ride and it was used in a number of triathlons and races. A beautiful bike like this deserves to be ridden.

I will consider shipping this if you are far away but we'll have to talk in person about payment arrangements.

Centurion (bicycle) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I WILL NOT RESPOND TO SCAMMERS. If you have questions or need more info about this bike, then ask specific questions. I will not even answer general emails like "do you still have this item?" - sorry, too many scammers out there. I will not accept a Money Order for payment, and I won't even communicate with scammers trying to pull money order scams. Thank you for understanding.

MINT Pink Metal 1984 LOTUS Excelle mixte Road Bike-- 54cm Medium - $300 (Capitol Hill)

This is the nicest, cleanest, and lightest Lotus I have ever seen. The rare pink color is so beautiful. A one owner bike purchased brand new in 1984, rode once around the block, and then stored for 30 years. Frame is lightweight and strong double butted Tange Mangaloy 2001 steel. Shimano components. Maillard hubs, alloy wheelset, precise shifting, light action brakes that easily modulate speed and can stop the bike swiftly. Frame and components are in a solid 9 or 9.5/10 condition with absolutely no rust or corrosion anywhere and barely even a paint chip; paint is still super glossy! Bike was just tuned and oiled and needs nothing whatsoever, but a new rider! 54 cm frame, best for someone 5'3"-5'6'' or. Email/call/text 425-772-8850. $300 firm. Thanks.

This is an unusual commuter roadie. A Lotus Excelle mixte in a fabulous color and mint condition. Based on my experience, this color does not correspond with the model/year. The components and detailing indicate this is an 1984 Excelle, but that model only came in Silver, Ice Blue, and Burgundy. At least those are the only colors I have ever seen. This bike looks pink, not Burgundy or faded Burgundy. This pink looks like the Raspberry Pink of the 1983 Super Pro Aero! So this model/color is new to me. Totally worth $300.
I have this bike..exact model color and size..i also bought it for my wife. She was a little nervous about the drop-bars and so i put 'porteur' bars on there. Even though it's too small for me--I've actually ridden it more than my own bike (1987, 23" Lotus Excelle in Pearl White).

It's a lovely bike with 27" wheels..but you can easily put 700's on there..the brakes reach. Also a ton of clearance for fatter tires..right now i have 32c Paselas..27"..But you can put 35's with room to spare.

The seat sucks..--but it's got the Lotus Logo on the back (which is nice).

I paid $60..spent about $100 on tires, tubes, bars and brake levers. I want my wife to like it was much as me. No dice.

I believe they predate the Deltas by almost a decade. I think they, like the DA counterpart were half 'new mouse trap' and half some half baked aero thing.

I wish that was local to me. I'd love to sub that frame in for the one I'm working on building up a mixte for my wife (the one I have is a lower end fuji that I need to repaint). Won't want it quite bad enough to pay to have that shipped here, but without shipping costs, absolutely. Heck, one could sell the brooks saddle and make some of that money back.
