Not to sound like a skeptic, but how do we know he's had any bids? This is Craigslist offering that is completely unsanctioned with no watchdogs for auctioning anything, so anyone could claim there is an auction going on but unless it's on Ebay, which I could not find, he's could just be telling lies about what the offers are.

I don't care about that stuff.

Too much thinking.

If you want the bike, show the $$$$$.

Really. That's news to me. All of the corrosion failures I've seen on Italian frames were due to plating acids not being rinsed out of the chainstays and "eating" the frame from the inside.

Vintage Road Bike Davidson Impulse 53cm - $550 (escondido)

Vintage Road Bike Davidson Impulse 53cm

Looks like a complete Dura-Ace groupset. Would love to have a Davidson, but this one is too small for me. One is being offered on Ebay right now, very similar groupset, in what appears to be pristine condition, for $1250.

Koga Miyata Touring/Commuter with Ultegra & Full Fenders
[h=2]Koga Miyata Touring/Commuter with Ultegra & Full Fenders - $350 (Newton)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: excellent size / dimensions: 52/54

Koga is a Dutch bicycle maker well known in Europe for touring and city bikes. They partnered with Miyata to make quality city and touring bikes for Europe and Asia. They had a small presence in the US because of the high cost of their bikes. This example is a commuting/loaded touring bike. It has brazeons for racks and fender both front and rear and has strong cantilever brakes needed for stopping large loads and in bad weather. There is also a brazon for a bottom bracket dyno for powering lights but I don't have one to include. The bike has full fenders, very low gearing and a triple touring crank. The bike has a long top tube so if you have a long torso and felt cramped on other bikes this could be an exceptional fit. The Shimano derailleurs are second from the top of their components and the shifters are their top of the line Dura Ace bar ends. The power train is a 9 speed cassette and a triple crank for 27 speeds. The wheels are 700c with 32 spokes for durability and a comfortably wide set of tires. The frame is a 52 center of crank to center of top tube but could be ridden by a taller rider because of the length of the cockpit.

I actually lowered the price a bit... then I raised it a tiny bit because I knew I was going to get someone who wants to offer me half my asking price...
I have it listed for $350 right now.
Also willing to take trade+cash. My wife wants something more comfortable... and cheap.

I hadn't listed it here yet because I wanted to clean it up and snap some new beauty shots.
It's really in fantastic shape.
I've been half tempted to strip it for the groupset to put on my own bike... but it's too nice to tear apart.

Vintage 1956 Masi Bicycle Frame Velo Cadre Course Bici Epoca Corsa Telaio | eBay

There are a bunch of things on this frame that to me do not add up well, take away the graphics and headbadge and the metalwork is off. I am pretty sure this was the Speciale Corsa that was inquired about elsewhere on the forum, but no images presented there. The BF and ebay user name matches pretty well but I could not conjure up the original thread, perhaps withdrawn.
