This represents "flipping" done wrong. No shame is buying low and selling high[er], but at least put in the minimal work to put it in working order. What type of work, you may ask, oh I don't know, maybe INFLATING THE TIRES?! If the tires need to be replaced, either do that or note it in the ad.

Also, that stem height is wack, given the pull on the front brake cable. No hate on the hustle, but at least have some integrity.

This could be a good project for someone, a large Merckx Professional with a crack in the frame. If not a project, the $375 price is pretty good for a Dura Ace group and extras.

Merckx has frame crack

Vintage Bob Jackson Tandem- beautiful and rare! - $1500 (Madison)

My tandem up for sale!

Up for sale is our gorgeously restored Bob Jackson tandem that I believe dates from the late 70's. This is a truly rare, one of a kind tandem that you will likely never encounter another on the road, let alone for sale at this price! I acquired the tandem in dirty, non original condition, with most of the original parts removed- and spent the next year piecing together a beautiful build. The paint is in beautiful condition, what you see on the downtube in the fork picture is a little road spray from its last ride. It's a fully lugged Reynolds 531 frame equipped with a 48 spoke Phil Wood tandem wheelset, new cartridge bearing bottom brackets, new chains, original T.A. Cyclotouriste tandem crankset, vintage Suntour Cyclone shifters, vintage Suntour micro ratchet bar end shifters, two brand new Brooks springer saddles, new gumwall tires, the original Mafac cantilever brakes, new Nitto Technomic stem, and more. The rear hub is threaded to accommodate an Arai type drum brake, which pop up on ebay with some frequency. Right now the tandem is set up for a 6'1" captain which is probably about as tall as you would want to go, but could likely accommodate anyone 5'7" and up; the stoker is set up for a 5'4", and could likely accommodate anyone 5'-5'6". The captain position measures 57cm center to center on the seat tube and is a 32" standover, and the stoker is 52cm center to center and is a 30" standover. The rack shown is not included, but if you're interested in it we might be able to work out a price. Likewise if you aren't interested in the Brooks saddles I could discount the price accordingly. Shipping could be a possibility as I have relationships with a couple highly professional shops in town who could pack and facilitate. Thanks for looking and feel free to get in touch with any questions.

^^ and another tandem in that area. Guessing its a late 1970's? Schwinn Paramount tandem $900
Schwinn Paramount Tandem

From the description: This is an almost perfect 1970's Schwinn Paramount tandem. it has campy cranks and everything is clean and nice. I had a professional repaint years ago and has no visible scratches. Just air up the tires and it is ready to go. The captain is 22" and the stoker is 19" . It does need the decals if you want it perfect. I also bought NOS shifters that go on the stem which have the correct cables and guides to make it all original looking.

I am pretty sure he posted it in the for sale thread but it is kind of cheesy to post your own bike here.

This looks interesting. The old parts might be Chorus, if he in fact does have a '91 Super Leggera and it is OEM

Overhaul my Bianchi!! (Keep the take-off parts!!)

[h=2]Overhaul my Bianchi!! (Keep the take-off parts!!) (southeast houston)

I need to replace the headset, bottom bracket and cranks on my 1990 Bianchi Superleggera. I don't have the tools and I can't afford $200 from a bike shop to do the work. I'm looking for a competent mechanic to switch out the parts, you can keep the cranks, headset, bb and both derailleurs, all parts are suntour from 1990 except the rear derailleur which is a shimano 105 that's only a couple of years old.

Thanks!!!![/h]

No offense, but I'm SO TIRED of seeing the constant stream of spam on CL from that seller. The same 7 or 8 bikes posted constantly, sometimes several times a day. Come on, take the hint; if they aren't selling, perhaps the market won't support it.

Bianchi Premio road bike (also a Mountain bike too) - $175 (Eureka, MO)

I don't know why the seller listed it on Southern Illinois craigslist. Eureka is less than 30 minutes from St. Louis.

THE AD:
I have a 1992 Bianchi Premio road bike for sale. I used it in the recent past for some triathlons, but have since retired! I am the original owner. This bike is Italian made and is a very quality road bike. New tires in 2011. This was a top end bike in 1992!
Bianchi $200

Sell or Trade Italian made Steel Bianchi frame and carbon fork - $285 (Maplewood)

This frame is a 55 c to c. Boron steel made in Italy. It's really comfortable on long rides but stiff at the bottom bracket for quick acceleration.
The fork is Bianchi carbon with an aluminum steer tube that is 1 inch with a shim for 1 1/8 stem.
Also a Chris King 1 inch head set.
I would trade for vintage wood working hand tools like planes, saws measuring and layout items.
I have been the sole owner of this since I bought it new in 2000 always stored inside and is in really good condition. Call or email to see in person, thanks Jeff.

That's a smoking deal on a very rare Bianchi frame. @Bianchigirll will come in and correct me, I'm sure.
