eBay / CraigsList finds - "Are you looking for one of these!?" Part II
Keener splendor
No pictures but a titanium Merckx with an extra set of wheels for $800 is definitely worth looking into if you are near Greensboro
Eddie Merckx

The value is in the frame. It was made by Litespeed to the Merckx geometry.

I was thinking the same thing. The DT looks messed up just above the shifters right?

Like new Electra Amsterdam Sport racing touring bike. This bike is made in England and was special ordered through a local bike shop for over $1,200.00. This bike was taken in by me on a trade . There is NO size on the frame however, a bike shop told who did a tune up on it said to measure from the middle of the pedal assembly to the top of the seat post. In that case that measures 20 3/4 inches.
All aluminum bike with Shimano gears and carbon fiber seat post. The seat is a GOB titanic wing flex seat made in Italy that was over $200 additional by itself. The pedals high quality Snafu brand. Beautiful speckled forest green paint that the pictures do not do justice.
This bike is about 4 years old and is light as a feather. It has been professionally tuned up by a local bike shop and is ready to go. All together over $1,400 invested!!!
Please serious inquires.....provide your contact information.

Cannondale Black Lightning on Chicago CL
For Black Lightning fans:
Cannondale road bike and Fixie for sale
Looks nice (dunno about the price). The seller doesn't mention the size, but says that at 5'7" it's too big for him.

Looks like a nice clean unmolested bike, if it was only 4 or 5 inches taller.....

I thought so too but it's just too darn short for me or I'd already own it. Only thing I'd do is ditch the rack. *Sigghhh* One of these days the right one will come along.......

My 2 cycling buddies that would have fit that bike and appreciated it are both gone now and my wife refuses to even try a road bike, built her a sweet Motobecane Mixte years ago and she wouldn't touch it. She loves her "hybridized" Trek 820 I overhauled for her and her Giant Simple Seven so I quit while I was ahead. Believe me it's SO tempting to buy it anyway, but then what? I live in "Cornfield County", there's nobody here that would appreciate it, it would just be an old 10 speed bicycle to them. A few years ago I had a red Super Course that size, not as good as this one and ended up giving it away. I bought it as a donor bike for when I found a nice 25" Super Course frame and I never found it. I gave it to an elderly gentleman I met at the bank that rode a newer Raleigh everywhere and in all but the worst weather. I had seen him many times out on the road. Fortunately I only had a few bucks in it, I kick myself now for leaving the Brooks on it but he was tickled to death to get the SC.

I'd have to see it in person cuz it could go either way. If it has XT hubs and nice rims in good shape and XT rear derailleur then ok deal, imo.

The only real vintage Cannondales will be the ones that represent the first year they came out which was in 83, everything after that...not so much unless it was a highly limited production run of semi custom bikes.

Now $175.
Vintage Lotus Racing Bicycle
Vintage Lotus Racing Bicycle
I believe this to be a 1983 or 84 Classique with replacement bar ends shifters.
Vintage Lotus Racing Bicycle - $200
Vintage Lotus Racing Bicycle
Lotus racing bike. Good condition. Was ridden last year. Tubes may need to be replaced and bike needs some TLC. Very light bike.
Medium\Large frame. I'm 5"10' and fits fine.
Quality components. Suntour, Campagnolo, Mavic, etc. The Mavic rims go for $80-$100 alone on Ebay used.
Plus the vintage aspect of riding a true racing bike from the 1980's or early 1990's.
$200 OBO

Pretty beat up. Can't see what rear derailleur is on there. Crappy Cheng Shin tires. Gigantic crappy saddle. Cover missing from shifter.
I'd have to see it in person cuz it could go either way. If it has XT hubs and nice rims in good shape and XT rear derailleur then ok deal, imo.

Nay! Those bikes were not all that great for mountain or trail riding, they were bone jarring harsh. In addition to the ride quality the frame is aluminium and depending on how many miles were put on the bike and what the riding conditions it was exposed too, that frame may have seen it's better days due to fatigue.

Alright... so I bought this for $85 off of CL. All original except maybe handlebars and saddle. Cannondale SH400 - Imgur
Got it for $85. LBS seemed to think it was a good deal and a good bike for the money albeit a little banged up here and there. What say ye folks over here on bikeforums?
I would say I am probably going to upgrade shifters. Theses are like friction shifters, kind of, according to LBS due to wear they don't click into place as easy, but manageable to ride as a bike to go around town. Enough babbling. Sorry.

They might get a little more clicky if you thoroughly flush them with WD40 or the like. I like to replace cables and housing on crappily shifting bikes I pick up.
If you go for new shifters, my favorite 7-speed (I'm guessing on the cog count here) shifters are DX and XT thumbshifters. So nice!
Frame looks quite a bit smaller than the blue one. Hope it fits.
