57cm Bob Jackson "Merlin" vintage road frame
[h=2]57cm Bob Jackson "Merlin" vintage road frame - $260 (Cambridge)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

Crawford St at Broadway
(google map) (yahoo map)

size / dimensions: 57x57

I'm moving and looking for a new owner for this vintage frame.

Classic and very beautiful Merlin frame from Bob Jackson, England. This is a vintage lugged steel frame with chrome lugs, it's not the same Merlin as the modern titanium frames. The tubes are Reynolds 531, which was the greatest tube set at the time.

Size is 57cm c-t-c for the seat tube and the top tube.

The dropouts are chrome Zeus horizontal dropouts at 114mm spacing and ought to work for a single speed. 1" threaded headset is smooth. Zeus square-taper bottom bracket. It's got Weinmann 610 center-pull brakes with nearly unused pads. Includes the fork, of course.

This frame has been refinished with a very well done sparkle purple paint job with cream details and chrome.

A little more info on Merlin: Bob Jackson Cycles

I've heard of this brand before, but I don't know anyhting about it. This might be a good buy.

Colin LAING racing road Bicycle

From the famous builder of artistic bicycles, Colin Liang.
The bike was built for the University of Arizona racing teams.
The bike is in great condition, great for riding and collection.
Have to sell it due to moving.

I emailed them within 1 minute of their post.

At this point several thousand people have contacted them and the new price is likely $750.

To me mint would mean all original parts? A LOT of stuff has been changed on that one. Almost everything actually. Pretty, but I would only be a buyer for $100 or more less.,,,,BD
