Blue Colnago Road Bike

Blue Colnago Road Bike - $450

Just bought this bike from Pheonix Bike Shop a few days ago- the nonprofit where students learn social entrepreneurship by refurbishing old donated bikes. Great cause! The bike has a lot of intricate details and designs that I loved- it's very unique. Comfortable fits someone 5'6-5'8 probably. Give or take an inch. I'm 5'8 and was on the upperhand. When I asked what they had to fix on it they said they just gave it a new chain and tires (the tires are very expensive and nice racing tires! Also comes with an extra 3rd tire and tire lube).

I just don't have the time I thought I did to commit to biking right now. The bike hasn't even left my car yet. I want to break even on what I paid and want the bike to go to a good home because I really was looking forward to using it!

$450 OBO

Very interesting. It looks like it has part of a riders name, Niel something, on the drive side top tube.

I'd buy that tomorrow were it local. Not as awesome as the orange ones, but still sweet.

Not sure how to post CL ad but there is a very nice 9/10 1987 Schwinn Super Sport in Temperance Michigan down by Ohio for 200 dollars. Ad says from 70's but its a 1987. Not my ad just passing it on.

If it were a little bit bigger...

Paramount- Waterford Built 58CM Like New
[h=2]Paramount- Waterford Built 58CM Like New - $1200 (newton)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: like new size / dimensions: 58cm

1991 Waterford built Paramount 58cm measured center to top and 57cm measured center to center. The top tube is 57 measured center to center as well. The 57 and up frames were built with Columbus SL while the smaller frames had SLX because they felt SLX was not strong enough for a taller rider. Columbus SL is superior to Reynolds 531 since it was lighter and stronger.

A Paramount built at Waterford was hand brazed with silver. The welding finish of a Paramount is among the best work in the world. This is among the last true Paramount built.

This bike has been used very little as you can see by the picture of the crank with no usage scratches. The paint and decals are exceptional. The components are all the original top of the line Shimano Dura Ace and the rims are Mavic and bars and stem are Cinelli. This was the 26th frame built in May of 1991.

A new frame alone from Waterford Bikes would start at $2,000 and likely be more than twice the price of this bike and a cared for Paramount won't depreciate like any new bike.

The price is firm. Please include a phone number or I will not respond.

I've also been keeping an eye on it. Will likely end up more than what I'd like to pay for a frame I can't view in person, though. Beautiful.

I like and kinda hate these kinda of half done project bikes. One should ask the owner if they have the extra parts even if in a box rough and tough and maybe not all there it would really turn it from a good to great value?
