I've recently wanted to buy one of these, looks closer to a 24 (61cm) than their 25.5" model though. Which is what I want.

Eddy Mercks road bike

Eddy Mercks road bike - $500 (diamond bar)

Classic mid 80s Eddy Mercks racing road bike 56cm. In storage last 25 years. Has new tires and tubes. Needs rear derailer. Moving must sell immediately! First $500 gets it.

Seller sounds motivated. Faema livery. Missing some pieces. Misspelling of Merckx may cause some searchers to miss this one. Could be worth checking out.

Price Drop Thin Blue Line Canadian vintage racer 400$ Anyone know anything about these? Whoès ridden one? The groupset is brand new, it might be worth 400 on its own. These were made by what is now silent sports in toronto in the 90's apparently

Vintage Raleigh Sports Bike (Mens)

For sale is my 1966 Raleigh Sports bike with 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub and shifter. Great bike, amazing original condition with new Brooks seat. Hate to see it go but time for a new home as I have to move.
$475 is steep, but it's so shiny

Ouch. DeBernardi Frame with, um, some damage. Not my size, but would it be completely inadvisable to ride such a thing? Assuming the seatpost cluster is sound, how much stress is really on that part of the frame?

I didn't quite know where to put this but just incase some one is looking for a unique Jaguar

I think it would be pretty *****in with an old school La Pre Alpina roof and truck racks on it.

Marinoni Bike Frame 50cm

[h=2]Marinoni Bike Frame 50cm - $100 (Charles Village )[/h]
This bike frame is the unicorn of bike frames. The frame and fork are in decent shape, there are some scrapes but nothing major. With a little a work and T.L.C. you may be able to tame this magical beast I'll from here on out call the bike-icorn. this bike-corn could be way rad, maybe even dream fulfilling. I kept planning on tackling this magical creature known as bike-corn for the last year or so but there is too much darkness in heart for me to even get close to it/I already have to many to maintain now. So take a look and text me with any questions you have about the bike-icron frame or if you just need some life advice. (*disclaimer on the life advice. I'm almost 30 and I cried in an Applebee's while the staff sang me happy birthday last week.)

On the Real
50cm Frame in good condition
Pink/Purple
Orignal fork
some scrapes
no bends or warps
life long friend if your nice to it.

The names Matt

I've only started looking at Trek (though their touring models) - this seems to be a decent deal considering the 'Make an Offer' option. More so if you're local'ish and can circumvent the shipping fee. Correct me on pricing if I'm wrong - I don't have a feel for valuation on these yet...
Hope you caught there is a crack in the seat tube. It's a shame he doesn't provide a photograph, that is rather misleading.

I did not! Thank you for pointing this out. That would explain the price. Too bad. And too bad the seller isn't more forward with this 'detail'.

OH yeah $900 is way too much!! I think for this the price should be closer to $400 depending on the condition. Does it need an overhaul? New tires? Chaind/FW? They were nice bikesin their day, an Alan I believe, but were known to fail in the joints.

No it isn't safe to ride. I've never seen damage like that, I would like to know what caused it. The only thing I can think of is that the seat post got rusted inside and they tried to twist the post out using incredible force, like putting the seat post in a clamp then taking hold of the frame and just pulled like crazy.

According to the CL ad, the damage was done with a Sawzall when trying to segment the old seat post. Evidently they didn't know when to stop.

Dang! the pic is distorted because it looks like the rear stays and the top tube are going in different directions as does the collar, but they could be using a mild fisheye lens effect to get it all in the picture.

Having owned 5 Jaguars myself, I disrecommend that one, an XJ-6 series 3. They are mechanically obsolete and very trouble prone. Try a 1992-1994 XJ-6 series 4, often referred to as XJ-40. They have a completely different and updated Jaguar-designed and built engine coupled with a ZF German built automatic transmission and new suspension system and brakes. Electical problems are rare and easily repaired. Even in an XJ-40, look for one that is clean, rust-free, and current in its repairs and maintenance, or great expense will ensue. I sold my last one, an XJ-40 Vanden Plas, in very good condition, for $3,000 cash in 2010. New in 1992, it sold for nearly $60k.

I also disrecommend, with great prejudice, the early 2000's Jag X-type, aka, baby Jag. The darn engine was shoehorned in so tightly under the hood that what should have been minor repairs required the engine and trans to be removed, from under the car, as an assembly. Add to that the fact that they came from the factory with a leaking oil pan gasket that was not under warrantee and, yep, the engine had to come out and be separated from the tranny to fix it. It was based on a German Ford car and came with numerous in-built problems one would expect from a Taurus.
