Here's Primitive Don's '87 Trek 560EX shown purely for another demonstration of fade paint schemes from that year. This is the same paint job my '87 Trek 1000 has. The forks are always solid colors, not fades (trust me, I wish my fork's crown was silver).

That's a much better picture, thanks, the other picture just didn't make the fork look right but now I tell it is.

Help! I just flipped over my Gitane Tour De France, and bent the front fork. I am new to bicycling and loved this vintage ride. Now I am combing the web to find a replacement. Can some one help? I don't even know how to size it. Where do I begin measuring for proper fork size?

As much as I would love to just run over and buy this today, I am going to pass. I have way too many projects going on and I am having my Rivendell shipped soon from Germany. It's set up in a very similar fashion and I can't justify this purchase. If someone is super serious on the forum, I can facilitate.

BTW If this checks out, it is a very generous price.

1992 Bridgestone XO-1 road/hybrid bike pre-owned- RARE - $550 (Saint Paul)

condition: good

1992 Pre-owned RARE Bridgestone XO-1.

Your chance to own a vintage Bridgestone!

After market add on's seat ( Avocet racing 1 ) reflectors, foot stirrups, drink holder, saddle bag (excellent condition) and a newer bike pump attached to the bike frame.

Any question's or to see the Bike in person call Troy.

Good Morning and welcome to the forums. Start a new thread out in the main section with a title like "Crashed Gitan TdF need fork Help" or something like that and some good pics. Finding an exact fork may be impossible but finding something to replace it is simple. The two most important things are steerer length and wheel size. Measure you steerer from the bottom of the headset at the fork crown to the top of the headset locknut. Since your bike is a Frenchy you may need to find a French thread fork or replace the HS. That is why it is important to post good pics. Other measurements like rake and trail aren't quite as critical but may effect the ride slightly. Hope this helps.

This is one of those odd balls where it wouldn't surprise me if it sold for $300 or $3000. Depends who's looking.

◀ prev next ▶ [h=2]Vintage Bike - 1994 Bridgestone RB1 - $400 (San Clemente)[/h]< >

condition: good size / dimensions: CT 51cm

I do not ride my bike anymore and it's just taking up space. In no rush to sell, so the price is firm.

Original frame with original parts goes for $800 on eBay. I recently put $100 into it fixing it up.

There is a minor dent on top bar of frame, but you can not really notice it, other than paint being slightly worn I think from previous owner trying to fix it. Decals are worn, natural wear and tear for a 20 year old bike.

Due to not being ridden in a few months, the air in the tires has depleted, but the tubes are new and just need to be refilled -- the pump I have does not fit bike (I don't think) but you can have it just in case I'm doing it wrong.

Specs:
9 gears
Hands down handle bars with breaks
Come with foot holds
Magic rims
Specialized tires
Aliante bike seat
Extreme Ishiwata CRMO tubing
Quick release from tire

C-T measurement = 51 centimeters (20 inches)
Suitable for someone that is 5'1"-5'5"

Serious inquiries only. Text or email Alyssa.

This is not a great deal IMO but I'm posting it here because I see the Modolo pads look new so this bike may have very few miles on it and I always love seeing bikes in original condition. But oh, gawd, that awful replacement saddle...

Vintage Italian GIUBILATO Road Bike Oak Bay, Victoria

IIRC the current asking price was close to what this bike sold for new. A notch or two below the Colnagos and Pinnarellos etc of the day. I'd put a brown Rolls saddle and honey brown cork tape on it. But not for $750.

It was on CL for a while. Long enough for the seller to raise the price. It started at $450 and now I see it went to $550. I had thought about taking a look when it hit CL but I already have a Bridgestone RB-1 and 8 other bikes. I would pass if someone raises their price. They need to do their homework before listing it.
