Oh, that is beyond nice, it is better than new! Looks just like mine but mine is not a 10 like this one. I have a 58c that is just a tad too big for me. I could use a 56c as I ride mine quite a good bit. Beautiful bike and one of the best road riders I have in my stable. Your is almost too nice to ride but if I had it, it would be on the road doing what it was designed to do best.

Maybe a trade plus reasonable cash difference?

John

Reply to: sale-nvprq-1856768884@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a super nice condition Benotto 12 Speed Road Bicycle. This bike was made in Italy and is the 50th Anniversary Edition. There is a gold decal, "1931 - 1981 50th Anniversary". The bicycle is very lightweight and in excellent vintage condition. There are quite a few Campagnolo parts and nearly every part has special pantographs. The tires and handlebar wraps have been changed after these photos were taken.

Features:
Frame & Fork: Benotto
Tubing: Columbus Tubing, lugged steel
Seat Tube: 53cm center to center
Top Tube: 54cm center to center
Stand Over Height: 31 1/2 inches
Paint Condition: Very good with a few minor scratches
Handlebar: Cinelli
Stem: Benotto; pantographed "Benotto"
Headset: Campagnolo
Saddle: Benotto, brown leather
Seat Post: SR Laprade
Crank: Campagnolo; pantographed "Benotto" - length is approximately 180mm
Chainrings: Campagnolo; pantographed "B" - teeth count 42/52
Bottom Bracket: Campagnolo
Front Hub: Campagnolo
Rear Hub: Campagnolo
Front Rim: Ambrosio 19 Extra Elite
Rear Rim: Ambrosio 19 Extra Elite
Tires (F/R): Continental Ultra Sport 23-622 (700x23c)
Freewheel: Regina 6 Speed - Teeth Count 13/15/17/19/21/23
Front Derailleur: Campagnolo
Rear Derailleur: Campagnolo
Shift Lever: Campagnolo; Downtube, Friction
Brake Levers: Campagnolo
Brake Calipers (F/R): Universal
Pedals: Campagnolo Gran Sport with Christophe Special toe clips

The bike also includes a Benotto Water Bottle and Frame Pump. I believe the pump is a Silca.

No that was early spring before greenup. Ok, yeah, last year I neglected the lawn and it was slow to go. But I've been padding the stock price of Scott's this year and it's now to the point where I MUST mow every other day to mulch properly. We've also had copious amounts of rain and relatively cool temps. I need it to get the lawn back in shape.

It's the 55cm, and no, not $200-$250.

We can talk. Let's move it to PMs and if you have any handy pics of yours send them along. I love the bike, the 55 is just too small. Fuji didn't do even sizes for it...they went with 3cm jumps on this frame.

I get to keep the red Silca pump...just laying that out there (it was a gift from Collin2424)

1994 Bridgestone from the last year they were sold in the US. One owner, all original parts (Shimano 600) except for newer rear Shimano Flight Deck brake lever/shifter. Saddle is French Ideal leather. Some scratched paint, no dings or dents. I love this bike but alas, it has always been too small for me.
$800 firm.

Oh finally... every now and then I get to wondering what those things are, but its never important enough to start a thread, or I end up in a fruitless search engine tussle.

And why I never figured it out after muttering to myself every time a wheel gets hung up on the calipers...

I'm half tempted to put up a web page saying that triangle thingamajig underneath the brake pads are tire guides for installing a wheel. Maybe Google can pick the archive of this page up.
