Most of it was rebranded but I believe they offered two groups at one time. Looks like "corncob'. 12,13,14,15,17,19.

Pinarello Montello Stage Racing Bike - $1000 (Attleboro)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

Rare find high end steel, light, fast and super comfortable. Factory paint was noted to flake off on these. I had it powder coated a few years ago, navy blue. Inside was coated with "Frame Saver". 1988 Tour de France stage winner. Always kept inside, pristine condition. An amazing bike! Own a piece of history. They don't make them like this anymore, complete with pedals and saddle. For rider 6ft. and above with long legs.

I bought the frame online from GVH Bikes, Inc. (Gary Hobbs) in the 90s, and had it built up with the components below.
Made in Italy.
Frame tubeset: Columbus XLS, chrome fork and stays

Vintage frame with updated components

Wheels: front Mavic Open 4 CD, rear Mavic SUP
Hubs: front Mavic, rear Ultegra 600
Bar end shifters: Shimano Ultegra
Drive train: Shimano 105, 8 speed
Brakes: Shimano 105 calipers
Tires w tubes: Michelin Krylion Carbon, 700 x 25C, 102 psi max
Crankset: Shimano 105 FC-1056, 175, 53/39
Cassette: 26/13
Pedals: Look ARC
Water bottle cages: American Classic
Stem: Profile Design H20 Riser, 95cm (c to c)
Seatpost: FSA FR 230

They did not use Reynolds 531 in this bike, they used something proprietary called 555 tubing (and a Reynolds-y looking sticker) that I believe was supposed to fool unwitting buyers. I sold these bikes retail at the time.

Special, but $1995 is a significant premium over parts value and a repainted frame with crooked decals.

Sheldon Brown's Raleigh / Brian Baylis Fixed Gear Professional Bicycle (Cambridge or Lexington)

Truly a stunning looking bicycle. This was Sheldon Brown's Raleigh / Brian Baylis Professional Fixed Gear. If you have ever visited Sheldon Brown's expansive website you might have seen this bicycle that he blogged about.

Link to it on Sheldon Brown site: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/org/raleigh-baylis/

Bought as a frameset with a crack in the bottom bracket. Sheldon explains in the blog entry how he was looking to fix repair the crack but was advised by Brian Baylis that this would not be possible. Brian advised that the bottom bracket could be replaced. The replacement of the bottom bracket and repaint was performed by the late Brian Baylis back in 2002. Some braze ons were removed at that time and bottle cage mounts added. The paint is still on very good order with minimal chipping. I do see one minor blemish on the downtube a couple of inches above the Raleigh decal, looks like the brake but might have caused that. It was touched up and looks to be an exact match on the paint. It's minor but I try and mention everything. Also one pin head touch up on the top tube, which looks more pinkish. This bike remains exactly as when acquired from Sheldon's estate. It was one of several bikes. Bought from his estate after his passing by one of his friends, an ex coworker who held onto it until recently when they relocated and offered the bike to me.
Frame: 23 inches from centre of crank to top of seat tube (How Raleigh sized their frames)
Cranks: Shimano Dura Ace 165mm with a 42 tooth 3/32 chainring
Rear Cog: 16 tooth Phil Wood 3/32.
Bars: GB randoneur bars with engraved map of UK.
Stem: GB
Headset: Campagnolo
Saddle: Brooks Swift
Seatpost: SR Laprade
Rear wheel: Campy Record 28H hub to Sun M14A 28H rim
Front wheel: Campy Record 36H hub radially laced with 24 spokes to Sun M14A 24H rim by leaving out every third spoke on the hub.
Weight: Just under 19lb

If you go to the site you get to the in depth full story on Sheldon Brown's site and additional pictures. Click on the pics for a more in depth description of the parts.

Available in Lexington or Cambridge.

$1995 obo

Call or text me at 617-792-1970 to set a time to see the bike. Please refer to the Sheldon Raleigh. Thank you!

Can't remember the last time I saw a legit Peloton here, this looks like a mid-80s model with all Superbe/Sugino/Cinelli and SL/SP tubing. One step below Paramount? Not a screaming deal, but I know at least two people here that would pounce if it were closer

(If it were $250, I'd go steal it, it's in my size range, too far away though)

Yeah definitely not a 56. Looks like a 61. Still the frame and those parts do look minty. Although the group doesn't necessarily fit the frame. Sell the group and put a Super Record or Dura Ace 7400 or keep the group, sell the frame, and get something from the 70s to match the group. Very hard to go wrong for the money.

I saw that today.

I've been riding my son's occasionally and this would be a no brainer if it were a smidge larger.

Here's one for the tall folks: 36.5" standover! It even says "Premier" so it must be a great bike.

68 cm concord premier road bike extra large

And in the "What the heck is that?" category:
Zigo Leader X2 Stroller Carrier Bicycle

Zigo Leader X2 Carrier Bicycle - The first mom- or dad- powered family transportation system. A modern take on the classic Dutch Cargo Bike or Bakfiets. Place one or two children in the ChildPod, put on a helmet, and you're ready to ride. The LeaderLink System allows the Leader to uncouple in 30 seconds or less, transforming the Stroller Bike it into the separate elements, Zigo ChildPod and Zigo Cycle.

Peugeot Record Du Monde Road Bike- Brooks Saddle, Just Tuned/Upgraded!

Much Loved Bike!

I am offering my beautiful Peugeot Road Bike. It had one owner since it started life back in the 1970s, and was well maintained. Since I bought it, I have poured quite a bit of money into it. I just had leather look bartape installed by roll on lane avenue, which cost about $30. On my second ride on this bike, one of the cotters on the crank failed. I had both cutters replaced by a guy that works on his own bikes out of his garage. He also gave it a light tuneup on the brakes, hubs, etc while he had it. I had Roll double check the job he did on the cotters- they tightened and slightly adjusted them, and now are good to go. This bike also has new Jagwire brake pads that have very little use. Since I had all of these repairs done, I have only ridden it once. The brooks saddle (well over $100 when they are new) is not something you usually see on a bike of this price. If you do not want this saddle, we can work that out. If it does not sell soon I may order a saddle that is the same color as the new bartape to replace it with. I wish I could keep this, but I just have too many bikes that are similar to it... if one of those sells first, I will keep this one. Email with questions.
