And the owner already got pedal adapters so you can run modern (or just "not AX") pedals. Ad says "Look" but the ones in the pictures are Time..

Frame looks very well made. Sweet deal.

1984 Raleigh Road Ace 12 speed RARE UK ONLY MODEL - $300 (Lowell)

I am selling a rare 1984 Raleigh Road Ace 12 speed bicycle what make it rare it was only a UK model and was never imported to the US. The bike has a 57cm Reynolds 531 frame, Reynolds 531 fork, FULL Shimano 600 AX group including the water bottle, 700c Maivc tubular wheels, Look Pedals and 3TTT stem. The Mavic tubular wheels are junk the side walls of the wheels have corroded so the wheels will need to be replace. This is a very unique Raleigh bike from the UK and will make for a great addition to any collector's collection. Sold as is for cash and pick up only. Please mention name, item, location, a phone number for a response all other emails or texts will be considered spam and will be ignored. Thanks
  • do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
Not to put too fine a point on it, but these WERE sold in the US, just not as Raleighs. Same frame same color, same style of decals but "Triumph" brand.

Not sure that I agree with the seller's opinion of sizing and its not from the 90's. But it is an unmolested 1986 Club Fuji.

https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/b...830538866.html - $125
Beautiful old Fuji from 90s. Could use new tires. I would change pedals if I were keeping it. Little small for me at 6’1”. Better for someone 5’10” to 6’.

That's tempting but the uncertain size, 5 hour round trip and tank and half of gas makes it a pass.

^^^^ In the minds of many (clueless) sellers:
* Any fixie, whether purpose-built or converted, is a "track bike"
* Anything with a drop bar is an "English racer"
* Anything without a drop bar is a "mountain bike"

Likewise:
* Anything made before they became an adult is "vintage" or "classic"
* Anything made before they were born is "antique"

Maybe it's a San Jose? If so, that's a bargain for a nice frame. My main question, though, is what is with that weird black spacer at the bottom (and maybe one at the top?) of the head tube?

^^^^^ Well there's a threadless stem on it, so it's anybody's guess how it's actually assembled. Is the lower bearing down at the fork crown, or up in the head tube? Franken-bike, in any event.

I would question if I were getting a Bianchi or something with Bianchi decals. plus no headbadge decal that I can see.

I'm thinking about picking this up, anyone have info on the frame? Seems like a good price for a typical 600 equipped bike...
