89 Centurion Ironman Master - current build

I recently sought some advice from Centurion-knowledgeable folks here regarding my '89 Ironman Master, and thanks again to them for the help. Got everything all back together a few days ago and have been out for a few rides on it already - and love it. Feels so light and flickable, lots of fun.

Upgrades include the Nitto 83 seatpost, Mavic Open Sport rims/DT Swiss spokes and new-to-me Shimano 600 hubs, 6-speed FW to 7-speed FH conversion, and various other bits...

Also swapped the original 42T small ring for a 39T... 'cos I'm getting old.

That had better be the marble finish and not cobwebs all over those stays and forks. :D Seriously, congratulations on finishing the project. Nice job. Enjoy.

Why does everyone else's Ironman have nice looking paint and I got stuck with salmon and yellow?

You know the cure for that....

Great looking Master. You'll soon experience strangers picking it up and going "wow, that's pretty light." Still my favorite Ironman.

What, sandblast and paint?:D
I keep telling you Robbie, you really don't want this bike. Note the road rash on the rear stays and fork.

The pink and yellow Centurions are my favorites—I think the smoke purple (which I just happen to have) comes in close second though.

I have that one!

It's the only colour scheme for the tiny size  .

Find me a 56cm in something a little more subdued and it's yours. Otherwise it's going to get painted in the same colors as my Miyata 512.

And I'm sure it looks great on you, but some of us couldn't pull off that colour combination. I wouldn't look right in the Queen Bee leg warmers, but you...
