Any one ever heard of CHUBEI?

I never heard of sucha bike but it looks to eba solid, 1980's vintage Japaneese bike for short money. What do you guys think? Do any of you ahve any information about these bikes?

I think I may remember this brand -- If it's the one I'm remembering, these bikes were around in the mid-70's, actually looked better than they were -- sporting 27" wheels, center pull brakes, big butterfly nut style quick-release wheels, and some of the other characteristics that were considered desirable at the time. But they were really cheap and built out of very low grade materials. Then again, I could be thinking of something else entirely. Probably a big help, eh? If nothing else, you can ride around town showing off your Chubei.
