I found this pic somewhere on the web. Published in LIFE Magazine. I love this thing, but have no clue what it is! Anyone know? |
very nice and unique bicycle. it looks '50ish to me you know back when everything had the futuristic aero look. the rear suspension is cool too, like an early 'off road' bran bikes had those polymer bumpers in the stays.

THat is awesome on a bed of awesome, served with a savory awesome sauce.
|
I know what that is. It's a single speed coaster brake bike with suspension. Not uncommon back in the day.

I'd guess late 40s instead of 50s myself. Note the skip tooth. That and the general aesthetic of it all.

Depends. If some other schmuck is riding it, it weighs a ton. If you are riding it and are now officially the baddest little badass ever to ride down your block, it weighs nothing. |

1939 Dayton Huffman Twin Flex. Or some referred to it as the Death Bike because the suspension made it really hard to handle.
