Seeing Double (the SECOND chrome Paramount arrives)

http://www.jaysmarine.com/paramount_flip.jpg

No, it's not a left-hand drive copy of my '70 - it is an all-chrome '72 P-13. Full, period-correct Nuovo (unlike my '70, which has the Weinmann 999 brakeset), high-flange hubs, and Mavic 700C tubulars which I'll probably swap out for clinchers - provided I can find a decent set of clincher hoops.

I'd ordinarily post a slew of photos immidiately following - but there is a rainstorm at present, and I can't get to the shed in order to photograph it.

Sorry! http://www.gsn.com/buzz/images/smilies/devil.gif

Pictures once the rainstorm clears.

Maybe they'll mate and have some little chrome tricycles...

In all fairness, I do intend to publish a "Top 5 Overrated C&V Roadbike List," and the Paramount happens to be one of the five.

Being a fat ****, I find that the thicker seat tube makes the frame stiffer right where I want it to be. I wouldn't suggest a Paramount to a lightweight.

I haven't touched anything on it, yet.

Oh how my eyes hurt already! Two chromes, a coppertone, and a burnt orange. What color next?

Whatever I can get my grubby little hands on. ;)

Next one has to be the French-build though - no sense in hoarding these parts if I don't do it.
