Cable and housing help!

Hi, as some of you may know, I'm rebuild a 1976 U0-8. I'm now in need of new cables and housing.

There is so much different stuff that I can't narrow it down to what or what not to buy. I'd like to have red housing.

I have Tektro aero levers coming and the brakes are Mafac racer. Plus I changed the shifters for old shimano clamp on down tube shifters. I have a regular Simplex prestige RD on it but it may change soon enough.

Does all that make a difference? I went to a cool LBS C&V friendly and the guy said it would cost 40 bucks for the derailer cable and housing and as much for the equivalent in brakes (please bear in mind I'm in Canada). I should mention that he said it was because of the red color, because he could only get it from jagwire. Also, I checked on loose screws and they ship for realy not expensive. I checked at niagara cycle and it's gonna cost me 20 bucks in shipping for two cables...

Help please!

$5 for a complete set at Walmart. The online suppliers only start making sense if you buy in bulk. I get most of my stuff from Niagara, but I buy ten bikes worth of cables, housings, tires, etc., at one time. Shipping in the US is not bad on such an order.

Doesn't Jagwire make an entire kit for a bike ?

Why not just pick that up?

RCK006 is a complete cable/wire kit.
