What Is this track frame .. Please help
Hi i have just bought this track frame ... and i am not sure what brand it is and would really like to know more about it. The bottom Bracket shell has a V cut out of it and the serial number is CO 0343
Does anyone have an idea of what it is ? By any chance, does that thing have English BB threading?
Those head lugs remind me of this (though they are obviously quite different at close inspection): http://www.jaysmarine.com/rossin_detail_4.jpg The only other frames in addition to yours (and that faux Rossin above) that I've seen with those cutouts were in this thread - a Danish Schroeder, and that black Moon frame that Unworthy1 posted: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=545394 I forgot who brought it up, but one fellow did point out the pitfall of trying to ID via a circular hole drilled in a lug: It's the easiest lug modification any two-bit framebuilder can do - stick a lug under a drill press and go to town. -Kurt |
