Just picked up 60's Schwinn Continental

What a find. Schwinn Continental serial number F331080.

Found it on Chicago Craigslist. The elderly gentleman I bought it from was the original owner.
He put upright bars and a mattress saddle on it when it was new. Included with the bike was the original unused Lycett saddle that looks absolutely new. When the bike was converted to upright bars he kept the original cables and the original bars. I am going to convert it back to drop bars with the Lycett saddle. Paint condition is phenomenal. Barely a scratch on it!

Pics to follow -

Any idea what year this is from from the serial number?

L15ST is the # on the saddle. Has the small seat clamp for the Schwinn seat post. If you are interested I'd sell it. I have it all taken apart and was going to clean it up, reassemble and sell it. Save me the trouble and I'll give you a good deal. PM me if interested.

Oh my gosh. You freaked me out for a second. I did throw my back out today! Then I got the joke.

Thats just weird that you said that. I thought for a second "who could this be that they knew I hurt my back today?" And yeah, getting the bike in my car didnt help much either.

And thats why I am posting this at 2 a.m. - cant sleep with my back like it is.
