Skewers?
I recently picked up an '88 Bridgestone T700.It's in need of a little more TLC than I thought. No biggie just money. The QR skewers are fugly and I'd like to replace them.Where can I find a rear for a 125MM spacing?Looked around but not finding much.
Thanks. |
Post in the ISO/WTB section. I'm sure some one has got some here...

Can't,an "upgraded" membership is needed.

I think I have one let me look
this Maillard is not the prettiest skewer but it does measure 121.32 closed with the nut screwed all the way in will it work for you? I have a better looking front from Maillard to if you need it. |
Thanks however the one I have is funky too so there's be no change.I'm looking to pretty it up a bit.Pics of the front would be appreciated.
Thanks. |
OK I'll try and get one. I have a great pair of 600 skewers but the rear is about 133 the Campi is about 129
is this 125mm the locknut width or the width of your frame on the outside of the dropouts? |
Funny skewer story.
There's a local recycling place that sells old junk, including sometimes Campagnolo parts, which they think are gold. Anyway, they had a bunch of hubs in the case one day, with all the skewers removed and set aside. I asked how much the hubs were? $50. each they say. I asked how much the skewers were? $1. each they say. I bought them all, nearly 20... |
If you're just looking for pretty, this might be a good candidate for that chrome plating thread a few days ago.

I guess pretty is too strong a word.unrusted fills the bill better.bianchigirll I'll measure the frame this afternoon while I'm servicing the bottom bracket.

Did the Sachs Mallard come off a Mavic Hub?
I am confused about skewers for my Mavic Hubs. I think they are original as the "nut" side looks like Mavic but the business end is Sachs Mallard. |
I do not recall where they came from.
|
It measures 126MM inside and 140MM outside.I'll have to look into a 130 and a little abrasive work.
