Can't Remember Name of Rollers
Does anyone remember the name of the company that, in the 1970s, made bike accessories, including rollers (with an optional tripod-mounted speedometer), as well as bike clothing?
Kreitler ?
Al Kreitler Custom Rollers! Recently got a new belt set for the pair I bought in '78. Still have the speedometer and tripod, but not the balance I did back then.
No - not Kreitler - it's a company that's long out of business. Kreitler only makes rollers, as far as I know - the company I'm referring to sold rollers, hubs, jerseys and windbreakers.
Good guesses, though. |
Avocet? They made hubs and clothing, don't know about rollers.

Uhm...Weyless?
I will cast my bet with the last post-Weyless. They also made some very lightweight accessories. Unfortunately they came and went really fast. Bike clubs around here used to used 2 of them to have roller races in the wintertime.
American Repair Stand made some like that.
Minoura? But I believe they are still in business.

I'm convinced it's Weyless (see pic), by virtue of the clothing reference, but since we're thowing around vinatge roller brands, let's not forget ATD, Cinelli and RollTrac.

Yes - thanks. Weyless. Whew. Memory circuits restored!
