potential new bike

Hey guys
So i finally did my build with the photo shown...its a Puch Mistral Force II. got the frame and pretty much built it up by hand but something with the frame bothers me, so I want to upgrade. Herein lies the problem. I dont know too much about vintage bikes and was curious to hear some opinions on whats a cool road frame that I can pick up in between $200-$300. I was thinking about the Specialized Allez Epic carbon frame (which would be awesome) but those are kinda hard to find. Any suggestions would REALLY help out. Keep in mind it needs to fit Shimano 105 7speed parts.

Thanks!

PS: new brake levers with grips have been added, and the seat has been straightened appropriately :)

What don't you like about the the frame?

If you're looking for something similar to the Allez Epic in carbon, you might be better off asking in the Road Cycling or General subforums. It might be worth your while to get the Puch's fit dialed in for you so you can get a handle on exactly what it is that's bugging you, that would make it easier to avoid similar problems on the replacement bike.

FWIW, I helped a friend flip a Puch Mistral a while back, and it was a great bike. I would have bought it from him if it fit me...
