What's a nice vintage bike for under £200? (UK southwest)
I just bought an old 1980's 3-speed sturmey-archer Raleigh Chiltern - my first "retro" bike - for £45. I paid too much for it really but after cleaning off all the filth and polishing up the chronically pitted chrome (aluminium foil method) it looks rather elegant and it's very comfortable to ride. I have yet to replace the tyres which are falling apart and replace the brake pads but I'm already very fond of it so I'm tempted to sell it and upgrade to one in better condition.
Are there any other bikes of a similar style to the Chiltern I might like? I want something that looks pretty and eye-catching (I live in a town full of cheap look-a-like MTB's everywhere) and feels comfortable - the sofa-like comfort of the upright sitting position is almost a culture shock after all the bikes I've ridden hunched over the handlebars!

Do you currently live in the US or canada ? Relavent suggestions totally depend on such as the models vary greatly in the UK. If that's where you reside.
