Square Taper Bottom Bracket Spindles Question

I know that virtually all square taper BBs and cranksets made in the last 20+ years have been JIS taper. The exception is Campy who used ISO taper.

Are there any other proprietaty or national standards that were used in this area such as French, German, TA or Stronglight on older production bottom brackets and alloy cranksets?

And Sheldon also said:

"I have a lot of experience mixing ISO/J.I.S. in both directions on my own personal bikes, and it as never given me a lick of trouble."
