NETROH is HORTEN backwards. Something is not right, that is not a bike brand. Pix?

Well, this guy has one, so it likely is a bike brand, just not one very common on bikeforums or in North America.

http://region.hive.no/horten/hoc/cycling.htm

From your description, sounds like a very nice, high end machine.

yeah. thats right. i found one person from norway who told me that. he said thats where it was made, and it was named after that city. that person wrote me in very broken english, but he did not beleive me that one made it to america. his name was olav. and noone else in the world beleives me. everyone thinks its a mistake. but i am possative that the lettering is original. it has a head tube badge that reads;

Sounds like a bikeshop to me but not sure.

If it is spelled PRODUCT and not PRODUKT the bike is really old.

I suggest aks the guy in the link I gave.

I don't know the person to whom you intend to write, but I do know that many, many people in Norway understand English. Give it a try.

just FYI, your 'I' in sykkei sport is probably an 'L'.

There is a bike store chain in Norway called Sykkelsport AS, where I'd say your bike came from. I would guess it is an OEM frame, re-branded by sykkelsport for sale in Norway. You should post a few pictures.

I know how you feel trying to find info. I salvaged a very nice 531 Dura-Ace WEROS bike from the garbage, but can find almost nothing about it.

Ben at Hjulkompaniet is from England so I think his english is OK. The Netroh bikes I have seen are store branded italianbuilt bikes sold in Horten Norway some years ago. I do not know the builder.

Hi. Mybe it's a litle bit late, but it's true that this bike is made in Horten, Norway. As mentioned before Netroh is the city Horten Bacwards. The frames could be outsourced, but it was assembled in Horten.
Try to contact Horten Sykklesport at +47 33 04 57 04 or +47 942 87 117. Ask for Stig Lundsør.

I happen to work for the shop that bought out entire stock of NETROH bicycles, we are in the process of shipping the stock to Santa Barbara, CA where we are building up and selling the bicycles and framesets. NETROH was a house brand for a line of bicycle shops based in Horten, Norway. Your frame was made in Italy by Daccordi.

Hi Everybody

This bicycle is build by my either my father or myself in the 80`. "Netroh" is spelling for our hometown HORTEN (backwords). The frames was generally Columbus tubes from Italy (some Reinolds too, but few). Welding was manly done in Spain at a factory calles RAZEZA. Final treading/tuning/painting/stickers was generally done in HORTEN in the early days, then we started using a paint facility in Denmark in the 80`.

When building bikes, we used one person , one bike , one day system :-)

We have a few Netroh`s left, as good memories. One specially with 24 carat cold plated Columbus SLX frameset , and Camagnolo anniversary 24 carat gold components.......

My father is retired, but HORTEN SYKKELSPORT still remains with myself. We are now the exclusive agent of GIANT bicycles and RICHMOND bicycles.

Thany you for your interest, funny to hear that somebody liked our NETROH bikes :-)
