shimano 200GS specs

I have an 1992 Trek 820 with Shimano 200GS components that still work flawlessly. I am wanting to replace the 12-28 7 speed freewheel with a 13-32. I can find no specs for these components. I am wondering if the RD is going to be able to lift to that 32T cog.

Any experience with this? Any good source for old component specs?

Unfortunately, I don't have the 200GS specs. However, it was replaced in 1993 by the Altus C10 which could handle a 32T cog. I also looked back through 1991-1992 specs for models using this derailleur and they were all spec'd with either a 28T or 30T maximum cog. It may be able to handle 32T if your dropout has a long hanger. I guess you'll just have to try it, to find out, unless somebody else has the specs.

200GS can take a 32t cog, as can all Shimano's long cage MTB mechs of the era.

thank you

Thank you for the reply. I am looking forward to replacing the drive train, lowering the gears a bit as my knees age.
