Yep, came fully complete just as it did in 1990, and in about the same shape too.

Ha, well, I only *really* have two since I don't necessarily count the KM. And I keep trying to tell myself I'm all done now that I found my dream bike So you guys can have all the rest.

My build is a bit stalled at the moment (seatpost in the mail, wheels in the shop), and I just spotted this thread pop up near the top.

Just picked up a Miyata 912 frame/fork (plus HS/BB) down in Vermont last week from a fellow forum-member. 1986?

I don't know just how 'cultish' my devotion will turn out to be, as I've not had the chance to ride the bike yet (nor any other Miyata). Nonetheless, the triple-butted splined tubing, quality construction and relatively long wheelbase appeal to me under the circumstances - the latter, in particular, will be a bit of contrast with what I've been riding lately, and the heavy-duty character of these 912 frames (note the beefy stays) suits the large rider eager to hop on top.

Since there's a thread here for Miyata devotees, I thought I'd best at least introduce this new addition while I wait to get it rolling!

So, here's a pic, almost built:

912 with Campy stuff? My bet is you'll love it. I've been looking for a 912 for a while. They dont come along very often.

I expect it'll be a fine ride, certainly has reputation on its side...and seemingly some fans here.

Campy/Suntour mix! I feel lucky now, hearing that they don't come around often - I wasn't even looking for anything specific (beyond a quality frame in my size) when I found another BF member who had this one to pass along and worked a mere 20mins from where I was staying while on holiday in Vermont!

I'll make sure to post a pic of the complete build and thoughts on the ride (a new 'cult' member?) when I get the chance!

I don't think I've added this to the database. Apologizes if I have.

As promised, a pic of my '86 Miyata 912 with the build complete:

Thought on the ride will have to wait - it's only made it to the end of the block thus far!

I am too lazy to make a thread, so here is a picture of my 1991 Miyata Team Titanium:

Full Dura Ace 7400 except for the darn seatpost. Still patiently looking on that front.

I did my measurements incorrectly when I put in the shorter stem and will be switching it out to a 100mm stem soon.

Has anyone ever seen a 63cm '87-'90 Team? They seem to be very rare in this size. I will PAY you to give me one.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, have ridden it almost every day since with a huge smile, a 1982 Miyata 912 (frame has a 1981 serial though).
The components do not match the catalog fully, it has sun-tour cyclone MkII derailleurs and had originally dia compe NGC 400 caliper brakes (the front one came with the bike).
I'm still trying to decide what to do with it, but probably it will serve as a fair-weather commuter and a all purpose road-bike. I'll add drop bars next spring (at the latest). I'm also considering scouting for original parts (brakes, pedals and bars) and giving it a paint-job, but that will have to wait for another time.

In the picture it is on 32 mm tires but I changed them to 23s yesterday.

Can someone tell me what the brace-on or boss is that is located on the inside of drive-side seat stay about 4" above the dropouts? (can not be seen on this picture though).

Here is a "Ninety" that has crossed my path... definitely a ladies bike, not sure how many came in pink but very girly.. Thinking she's and early 80's model with the model lower case and spelled out in girly pink font.

I love the matching pedal stand! BTW, she appears to be a 1986 model. These were spec'd with upright bars, so it looks like someone did a drop bar conversion.

Ah, 25.8.

I've been looking for an aero Dura Ace seatpost for purely aesthetic reasons and to complete the group.
I do not know for sure if it exists, but I've seen a few fluted 25.8 Dura Ace posts (both black and silver) appear on ebay from time to time, so I am going to continue to believe that there might be an aero post in my future.
