I hope it's in as good condition as described by the seller. I'll add that in here after I'm all done cleaning/setting it up, maybe in a few weeks or so....

1963 Olmo De Luxe, the top model

The De Luxe was the top Olmo model in 1963, with Campagnolo parts. It has a chromed frame with gold paint over it, called a chromovelato.

Posted way back with the old camera and much prefer the new one.

Hope this old lady still gets a pass as she has no Campy bits but isn't exactly gaspipe, is somewhat rare, and probably worth 20-30 times more than what she cost new.

Will take some better shots after the touch ups get done (and I have changed a few little things) but have been thinking that it would difficult, if not impossible to find a bike that can compare to my Ron Cooper. I just upgraded the Campagnolo brakes I was running with some lovely little centre pulls that say Zeus 2000.

Thanks CB .. I use a monopod whenever I can, it give's me added stability and helps with the overall sharpness.

the key for a photo like that is adjusting the f-stop and making sure you're on a macro setting, good lighting doesn't hurt either

Thanks guys. I've got a tripod and use the macro setting. I use a Canon PwerShot A510 P&S.

I don't use the built in flash. Maybe I have to play with aux lighting more as my shots usually come out glared up.

This thread never should have gone to zombie land... the bikes shown in these pages are amazing and wonder if some are kept only as pieces of art as many look like they have never seen a mile in their lives.
