What year? Motobecane Grand Record

I recently acquired a vintage Motobecane Grand Record, and I was wondering if I could get help figuring out the year. The previous owner took off all the rust to make sure it was all light surface rust. There's no stickers no head badge, just "grand record" on the top tube and "made in France" on the non-drive side chain stay. Id like to know more about it before I go to all the trouble of restoring/replacing the paint. Right now the paint is a cream color but the fork betrays what was once the original color, a light yellow. Here are some pictures.

around 1980: many features are similar to this model as shown in the '79 catalog, but wasn't offered in yellow that year. Did have the model name in script on the top tube as yours...spec on '79 Grand Record was 3-tubes Vitus 172 DB, Bocama lugs with cutouts, and Huret ends (yours look like Simplex) and top-of-BB cable guides.

The number that's below the serial number is the month and year (mine is 0382). I think it's an '80. Can't make out the month.
