Step One: Admit you have a problem......

Sunday was lovely, most of Thursday's snow had melted. My better half 'suggested' that it was the perfect time to clean out the barn, put away the canoe and kayaks, hang up the bikes, and get ready for winter, It was only after I installed half a dozen new hooks that I realized just how bad it was:

Problem? I still see several bare rafters with no hooks.

retrofit 11-09-09 07:46 PM

The only problem I see is you need a bigger barn. :D

BigPolishJimmy 11-09-09 07:53 PM

The barn is only half-full. ...but then I'm an optimist

ScottRyder 11-09-09 08:02 PM

The bad part is having to put away the canoes and kayaks due to snow! The good part is that you'll have a busy winter with all the bike projects.

if you sell the wheelbarrel you can buy more hooks. then sell the canoe and kayak and buy more bikes *giggle*

cudak888 11-09-09 10:22 PM

That doesn't look bad at all.

Your problem lies in the fact that there are too many modern MTB's and hybrids on those hooks, and not enough C&V. :p

Problem? What problem?

luker 11-09-09 11:01 PM

I see part of the problem. If you alternate front wheel, rear wheel, you can hang your bikes twice as close together...

vincev 11-09-09 11:14 PM

I dont see a problem. If ACE runs out of hooks Menards will have them.

Ablaut 11-10-09 12:37 AM

I don't see the white garage door for photographing your bikes in front of. That might be a problem.

banjo_mole 11-10-09 01:04 AM

I don't see a big box in the garage addressed to me with lots of odds and ends and Campagnolo sticking out of it.

joe v 11-10-09 01:14 AM

Well, you're halfway there; throw away all that junk in the back there and you'll have loads more room!:)

pastorbobnlnh 11-10-09 04:18 AM

Dang the snow that makes us put the bikes up on hooks in the first place! :notamused:

Or maybe you need a several of us New England C&Vers to come by and alleviate you of this particular challenge in life? :innocent:

About half of that wrack and welter are dump bikes to be worked up over the winter and flipped in the spring. There are 4 early '60s 3-speeds in there as well (Dunelt, Rodin Hood, Raleigh Sports, and a Schwinn of some sort)
And all the ATBs are pre-'93 or so. That IS C&V by mountain bike standards!

I prefer a more pastoral backdrop:

Does your wife know you're actively seeking advice from enablers?

Wildwood 11-10-09 09:58 AM

With winter coming you need a ski equipment barn.
