1985 trek 600
My dad just gave me his 1985 trek 600 with campy components. I was looking on vintage trek and it said 600 only came in blue that year but mine is green and hasnt been re-painted. Any suggestions?

+1 Just look up your serial number and it will tell you exactly what you have. The Vintage Trek site is superb.

For more on the socalled 531cs tube set, please see this page with original Reynolds catalog material and a spread sheet compiled by Terry from Reynolds.
I have a 1985 Trek 600 'Series', also made with 531cs. Most recently I built it up as a touring bike and can report that it felt rather good on a just completed 45 day trip. http://fivenineclimber.com/bikes/gaz...eynolds_80.htmhttp://i739.photobucket.com/albums/x...n/R0011547.jpg |

Those are great bikes indeed and for so many uses. Yesterday I finished my build on a 531 Reynolds Trek as my main hilly course triathlon bike for the next season (Will post pictures soon...) |
The bottle is 2ltr soda pop container in one of those Topeak monster cages.

Thanks for all the info, ill get a picture up soon. Is there a place to get new hardware? The stuff i have is a little rusted.

This is great stuff and these bikes should be added to the Trek 660 thread.
