ID this wild Miyata!

Parked outside my school
miyata frame with M cut out lugs, aero shimano 600, full group, and fender eyelets! Non-slopped fork crown... what is this! Also looks like plenty of length in the chain stays.

Saw this Peugeot while going for some groceries today.

Looks pretty original, even the tyres. Though they were starting to bulge around the (rear) bottle dynamo.
Black delrin derailleurs

Didn't inspect it any closer to see what model it was.

Fork may be a replacement.

I was wondering about the straight fork. Such a pretty bike but owner was no where to be seen.

I didn't get a good distance shot but this bike is 2 stories up on a building on a filled in window, and I am not sure if its a prank, art install, or very secure parking for a Trek 820..

Looks like the seat tube goes through the left section of galvanized pipe (notch pipe, insert tube in slot, thread on pipe cap) so I'd say art.

Actually, it looks like that pipe is aft of the seat tube, so the bike is just resting on the two pipes. A shot from further forward (wrt the bike) would tell.

But no chain, so

Aft, not so much. And, speaking as an experienced mechanic, it looks like that left cap might even be crossthreaded.

Try a zoom shot from that angle. Looks like that seat tube is captive.

At the end of the film Sicario, Benicio del Toro suggested that Emily Blunt should move to a small town that believed in the rule of law. That's where I live. Never have to lock my bikes on errands. Maybe if I had to get a haircut for 30 minutes and couldn't keep my eye on it. Left my key in my K75 Beemer for 5 years and my Volvo 240 is going on about 6 years now. It's pleasantly weird, being a big city boy.

I scoffed at the lock too but for the wrong reason.

Two "Public" rental bikes at Emporium Cafe this morning in Ojai, CA. They could use some chain lube.

I’ve spotted a lot of fantastic and interesting C&V in town lately, but just haven’t stopped to take any pics.

This simple Motocane, while nothing extraordinary, did beacon taking a moment out however. Sweet little bicycle imo.
