I spot a lot of interesting bikes in the wild. This one amused me yesterday.

This was at the local grocery recently. Cool bike that had obviously seen some miles. I did a quick search and came up with a Paris shop that is permanently closed. Anyone know more?

Saw this weird setup up in Ojai, CA yesterday. Appears to be a vintage Cannondale, downtube shifters, toe clips and an e-bike conversion. The big red thing said "Superpedestrian". I Googled it later and it sent me to "Copenhagen Wheel". There was nobody to ask, and I didn't want to move the bike to get a drive side photo. Sorry. I can never get the paste url to work from my tablet, but here's a link:

https://www.superpedestrian.com/en/tech

Looks like it costs about $1500 to get the old Cannondale to move faster.

Schwinn in Asheville

I saw this Schwinn (Varsity, I think) when we were in Asheville, NC. Not a great pic; I took it through the window where we were sitting in some (over-priced) Hot Chocolate Boutique. Looks like a (Wald 150? Paperboy) basket we used to sell.

Undercover Colnago. I rode to the big Subpop event on Alki beach here in West Seattle and as I parked my bike I noticed I was next to C&V and then I looked closer.....Royalty but a very low key matte black, or maybe just dusty..

And the Velo Orange next to it has a baby seat and a Cambium saddle.

Two legs, that Raleigh is a Grand Prix. It was the only model with wraparound seat stays.

Are bike shop pics really the "wild"?

Outside the courthouse. I love geared messenger bikes like this.

I had planned to look into rescuing this, but next time I saw it someone had given the frame a very gruesome death.... too terrible to post. Made me sad.

"In use" would be a bit of an understatement...

I think this is awesome.

I didn't realize this thread existed, might be posting here pretty often.

Technically I don't think a bike shop window qualifies as "in the wild" but this caught my eye on a recent evening ride-by.

I edited the posts. Yeah, I really wish I had done something, but I don't exactly have the tools to remove the lock and I don't think a conversation with BART employees would go great.

It certainly met a very sad fate. The frame is well beyond repair now.
