It looks unusually small. Are those 24" wheels? Or are my eyes deceiving me? (the tires look too fat to be 27")

To identify the year of your bike, please post the serial number.

Also, good clear pictures of the dereailleurs, brakes, and frame stickers would help a lot.

A photo of the head badge would be helpful as well. Domestic Japanese perhaps?

Ill try to get pictures in a bit, my camera battery is dead. But i believe the rear de railer says deore on the arm, and the head badge is a sticker of a an indian feather.

Actually the wheels are pretty small, 26x1 3/4

here are the seat tube decal, headbadge, and fork decals of my '76 fuji "feather" track bike. It was made in Japan and apperently intended for sale in Japan only at the time. Perhaps that is the case with the OP's finest?

I think his bike is younger.

From what I can tell the "Feather" badge and decals was used on the domestic Japanese market only. Neat find!

Well that would be interesting because the buy i bought it from was from the Philippines and the bike was given to him by his friend who was from there as well. He had to sell it when he moved back, but im not sure he bought it there.

Interesting looking Fuji. It definitely was not the Fuji Finest model that I expected to look at. I wonder if it is a domestically only manufactured model, based on the 24 or 26" wheels, three arm cotterless crankset, and cantilever brakes. The only USA Fuji models that I remember with cantilever brakes were the Fuji Touring Series 3, 4 and 5.

I have an older Fuji Finest that I bought new in 1974 when I was in college. I still ride it on Century rides since it is a very comfortable frame. I replaced/upgraded many driveline components with Campy (still have the old Suntour parts).

This web site is a good reference for older Fuji bikes:
